Public's help sought in suspected squirrel scam

A squirrely deal is making the rounds in Nevada this week after police warned residents of a door-to-door salesman who offers an unusual service.

For a $600 fee, an unidentified man offered to clear a Nevada residents chimney of a squirrel infestation this afternoon, according to a release by the Nevada Police Department. The unidentified man told the resident that he needed to get rid of the infestation immediately, and pressured the reporting person into writing a check immediately for those services, according to the release. The resident rejected the deal and the man left. The man was last seen in the 900 block of 11th Street in Nevada, according to the release, driving a pickup truck. Call the Nevada Police Department with any information on this case at (515) 382.4593
