A Framingham woman was arrested after ringing doorbells early Sunday morning on Clark Street, police said.
Rebecca Dittami, 18, was arrested after she walked up and down the street ringing doorbells at 6:30 a.m. and running away, police spokesman Lt. Paul Shastany said.
Police received several calls about being awakened by a strange woman seen running from their doors.
The officers found Dittami and asked where she was going. She said she was going home to Coburn Street, Shastany said. Police said she actually lives on Arlington Place.
The officers noticed she seemed to be unsteady.
"They asked her if she had been drinking," said Shastany. "She said, 'No. I'm on Ecstacy, baby.' "
Dittami then said she lived at a group home on Clark Street. When the officers brought her there, a resident said she didn't know her.
"Dittami became very upset and started screaming," said Shastany. "Neighbors started turning on their lights and opening their doors to see what was happening."
Dittami, of 6 Arlington Place, was charged with disturbing the peace.
She was scheduled to be arraigned in Framingham District Court yesterday, but her arraignment results were not available.
