why is it that anytime i'm driving around and i see a car that looks like it just went through a demo derby behind the wheel is a chick on her cell phone. lately everytime i see someone driving like an asshole they are on their cellphone. now i'm not one of those people who against talking on a phone in your car...just be good at it. most arent. and i i see you texting, i'm going to hit you. keep your eyes on the road douche bag. i'm longing for the days when chicks only put on makeup in the car while driving or the guy whos reading a paper while using his dick to steer. those were the days.

i'm also getting tired of the creep. no, not the guy down the street who lives with his dad and sister, whos 5' 8 and weighs 450, who forces the single schoolteacher who lives next door to him to put glass block windows in her basement because she caught him peeping. no not him. i'm talking about xmas creep. santa came to a mall in the burg last weekend. the oldies station is starting to play xmas music 24/7 until xmas. cant you bastards wait until after thanksgiving. cant you just give me a little time before i have to rush into this miserable, degrading, tortorous season of peace. i'm afraid to tell the one secretary here at my work because she will start playing that station......loud. look, i dont need to here wilson/phillips ruin another xmas standard. if i wanted to here them sing poorly i would get their first cd. i'd rather here those barking dogs do jingle bells that faith hill give her version of silent night. new rule...no xmas anything until, at the very least, thanksgiving day.

(CBS) NEW YORK A Burger King restaurant manager is being charged with shooting a teenage boy dead the two argued, and the boy spit in the manager's face. Police say 16-year-old Shaka Walcott and 45-year-old Ronald Johannes had been arguing for more than a week. Police say the teenager returned to the Bronx Burger King Saturday night and was shot several times in the chest by the manager. Witnesses say Johannes also was injured in the fight and he left the scene while the teenager writhed on the ground. Police say Walcott was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. They said Johannes was bleeding from gunshot wounds when he stumbled back to his home, where they arrested him. Johannes is charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon. Customers at the Burger King, however, said Johannes was difficult to deal with and used to kick them out.


FALL RIVER It all started with tacos and a movie and allegedly ended up as a hospital trip and testing positive for drugs. It does sound strange, but one man says it happened to him. He claims the soft tacos he bought at a fast food chain contained some sort of drug.Phillip Daggett says he grew ill after eating a soft taco he ordered from a Taco Bell on Plymouth Ave. in Fall River over the weekend.Daggett says he began feeling very strange shortly after eating one of his tacos. He claims he suffered from stomach cramps and numbness in his mouth and lips. He says his symptoms were so intense; he was almost not able to speak properly.Daggett says he checked another taco he bought and noticed a strange white powder in the meat.Worried about the mysterious powder and his slurred speech, Daggett says he went to the hospital where he allegedly tested positive for opiates, a form of morphine.Taco Bell is currently investigating Daggett's claim.

ok, i used to be a manager of fast food restaurant in a past life and while i dont agree with killing a customer....i understand. not only was there many a time i wanted to kill a customer i then wanted to kill the staff too. i know, your going to say "the customer is always right shoes". no they arent. its funny but the customer is almost always wrong. its uncanny how wrong they can be. this kid kept coming back to the store. he was asking for trouble. i think you leave the manager there...nothing bad will ever happen again. everyone is going to be polite and nice inside that restaurant.....at least while hes working. of course killing a person cuts down on repeat business so the company might frown upon that.
as for the second story well i once had a kid who was catching flys and putting them on burgers. i caught him and fired him. he immediately went down the street to the mcdonalds where he was working within the hour. i called that manager and told him why i fired this little prick but he said help was hard to find and he would keep him. he lasted less than a month there. when his parents brought back his uniform they were pissed at me because i fired him. i sat them down and told them why he was fired and his dads response was "it doesnt matter. we just wanted him to work to develop some character". i sat there stunned that they werent pissed at the kid for messing with peoples food but alas they were not. i only hope his parents get shit on there food every time they go out. i try not to eat alot of fast food anymore.

u.s. bishops for the catholic church are getting together for a meeting in baltimore this week. they are going to tackle hard subjects like: persuading married catholics to reject contraceptives, gay catholics to refrain from sex altogether among other things. suprisingly only 4% of married cathoilics use the churches approved method of birth control. whats suprising is that 4% could be that stupid. i hope educated people in america wont fall for this crap like catholics in third world countries do. this is a recipe for the spread of std's, teen pregnancies and abortions...you name it. what a stupid thing to push to your flock. the only reason to do this is to make more catholics. the church doesnt mind if you get pregnant (even if you cant take care of a baby). they just send over father o'malley who in his best irish accent tells you "aye laddie, this child will be a blessing upon your home". thats a a crock of shit. a child is hard goddamn work. not to father o'malley mind you (hes just waiting until they are school age...if you catch my drift). how do the raping priests feel about not using birth control? shouldnt the church work to get their priests to abstain altogether before they ask catholics to give up birth control. actually i encourage priests to use birth control at all times. as for gays abstaining from sex because the church says so....screw them. the gay priests arent stopping. the church doesnt recognize gays, wont let them take the sacraments....etc. hell, the church doesnt like gays at all. the church hates gays more than women...and thats saying alot. what the church does like is gays money. dinks....double income , no kids. gays have lots of disposable income to put in the collection basket. gays should tell the cathoilc church to pound off asap. what do we expect from an organization who has a former nazi as its leader, hides pedophiles within their ranks, encourages third world people to have more children....etc. the answer....not much.

finally dateline has had one of the pedophiles they caught kill themselves. i know that i mentioned last week that a station in pittsburgh made a guy kill himself by going after him in an expose'. that guy was a reverand and they caught him going into sex stores. that isnt against the law. dateline gets pedophiles. pedophiles are scum of the earth. i have no problem with them killing themselves. as a matter of fact i am all for them killing themselves. i encourage it. this guy saved the taxpayers tons of dough. i must admit that i am both thrilled and appalledat the
dateline episodes when they catch these guys. i love to watch them and then i realize how many guys like this are out there. if you have kids it scares you senseless to think about these predators.

A 44-year-old Saginaw man remains jailed today on charges of bestiality after he was seen engaged in sexual acts with a dead dog, Michigan State Police troopers said.
Ronald Kuch was arrested after police searched the area of Midland and Carter roads Friday for a man who ran away from a Bay County Animal Control officer. The entire incident was within view of a nearby day care center.
At his arraignment on Monday, Kuch demanded a preliminary examination in Bay County District Court. District Judge Craig Alston ordered him to remain jailed in lieu of $500,000 bond pending a hearing on the evidence Nov. 6.
Kuch is charged with crimes against nature and assaulting a law enforcement officer.
Troopers said a woman from the day care center called for animal control because there was a dead dog near the property that had been hit by a car several days earlier.
Before officers could arrive, the man showed up and began engaging in sexual acts with the dog, police said. The animal control officer also reported seeing Kuch involved in the sex act and as he approached him, Kuch shoved him away and ran off.
State troopers searched the area and found the man hiding in the attic of a nearby house.
Officers determined that the house belonged to the man's girlfriend and later learned that the dog, a black Labrador retriever, also belonged to the girlfriend. The dog had been dead for four or five days.
The official charge of crimes against nature carries a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison. If the person is a repeat offender, the maximum is life in prison.

Christmas comes early.........

well as i woke up this morning and put on cnn i realized that this election couldnt have gone much better. almost everyone i didnt want to win....didnt. now some of the people that won seem like douche bags too but i'll work on them next election.

rick santorum : it looks like the voters in pennsyltucky couldnt save you ricky. its time for you to get on with your lifes work. my only wish now is that his wife would have to get a job for them to support the twenty kids hes spawned.

mike veon : a pennsylvania legislator who was one of the most influential people in the state house. he voted for an illegal raise and then was the only legislator who would not vote to repeal it. more to the point ...he kept the money. he wouldnt give it back. he stole from us. now that hes out he should be prosecuted.

melissa hart : another pa state legislator from a rich republican district. she helped bush and co. form policy like badmouthing veterans who ran against republicans then , on her ads, mentioned how she cherished the veterans. i hope they all voted against her. i'm glad i wont have to look at her horse face anymore.

there are so many more like claire mccaskill winning for senate in missouri, dewine and strickland losing in ohio, allen losing in virginia, south dakota rejecting a tough abortion ban, arizona rejecting a gay marriage ban...etc. now this corrupt administration cant bullet train their agenda right through both houses. i think they should look into the corruption in the white house like they did with clinton. when clinton was raked across the coals he was just screwing some bimbo in a blue dress, bush is screwing all of america. i am as giddy as a schoolgirl this morning. i guess the sheeple finally woke up and we have a system of checks and balances again.

its sweeps time on local tv. this is the time when local news goes after sensational stories that are alot of bullshit like....is your childs daycare filled with radiation? or do you know if a child predator is teaching your children?. they throw out these teasers trying to get people to watch their lame ass news when everyone knows that people are getting their news from the internet or cnn...etc. well the station in pittsburgh (kdka) went after the pastor of a presbyterian church here in the burg. they advertised that they had "conducted a monthlong investigation into reporrts of public and illegal sexual behavior by pastor dugan. promos were run for a month showing the reporter confronting the pastor regarding trips to an adult bookstore. last thursday they said the investigation "uncovered illicit, possibly illegal, activity by a local minister, activities which, at the very least, violated the rules of his denomination". again...possibly illegal. well theres no need to worry about it now because the pastor went to a motel and committed suicide. he od'd on ...get this.....aspirin and alcohol. i took alot of aspirin once and all i got was that i felt really good. the reality of this is that what good did it do. going to a bookstore is not illegal and even if he did something against the tenents of his religion ....who cares. it wasnt hurting the public. go after a politician tough guy. go after the catholic church (what they did really was illegal). this was senseless. it wasnt done to benefit the public. it was only done to raise the staions rating during sweeps week. nice job guys.

on a side note ...this is the same reporter who got his station in dallas sued by two cowboys after reporting that they molested a stripper who later recanted. his track record isnt sterling by any means.

i guess the bottom line on how i feel is that if your going to do an investigation go after something that benefits the public. picking on a guy like that is like shooting fish in a barrel. he had a wife and kids...you ruined their lives over something that wasnt even illegal and shouldnt be considered bad at all anyway. go on with your monday.

i find it funny that someone like melissa hart (a republican hack from a largely wealthy, republican part of the pittsburgh suburbs) says in her commercials that she cherishes all of our veterans. this is the same woman who helped dubya form his policy for the last election...you know, the one where he badmouthed every democratic veteran. i guess she only cherishes the republican veterans. needless to say shes in a bit of a fight and the post gazette (pittsburghs only viable paper) endorses her opponent.

it looks like ricky santorum (aka little hitler) is about to have to get on with his lifes work. what will he do when he cant suck at the teat of the government for his income. i dont count him out completely yet becausei never underestimate the sheeple from the middle of this state. if you know pennsylvania the you understand the philadelphia is in the east, pittsburgh is in the west and arkansas is in the middle. rick is strong in the arkansas part of our state where he has convinced them that a vote for democrats will not only allow the terrorists to get your home address but will allow jews, uppity negroes and others of color to move into your neighborhood where they will immediately impregnate their lilly white , vigin daughters.

Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum's re-election campaign has pulled most of its television ads from broadcast television and is now mostly advertising on cable.
A Franklin and Marshall College political science professor says this is typically a sign of a cash-flow problem. He says it doesn't make sense to give up advertising on major network shows if a campaign can afford it.
But Santorum media consultant John Brabender says that's not so.
He says advertising on channels such as CNN, A&E and the Discovery Channel is a strategic move to reach undecided voters.
The news comes after the Santorum has released a controversial television ad that shows a photo of Democratic challenger Bob Casey's face next to a mushroom cloud. It accuses him of supporting policies that hurt national security.
The ad said North Korea and Iran are close to having nuclear missiles that could reach the United States. It said Casey opposes bunker-busting bombs and deploying a missile defense system.
The Casey campaign said that is not true.
The Santorum campaign said it has purchased $700,000 worth of ad time. But the Casey campaign accused his opponent of making a small "phantom" buy to get publicity.

Harvey Weinstein, co-chairman of The Weinstein Company stated, “It’s a sad commentary about the level of fear in our society that a movie about a group of courageous entertainers who were blacklisted for exercising their right of free speech is now itself being blacklisted by corporate America. The idea that anyone should be penalized for criticizing the president is sad and profoundly un-American.”


patriotism is not defined as going along with everything the government says..as a matter of fact patriotism demands that you hold the government to a higher standard and that you do question them at every turn. we the people are their employers. we should have the right to hire and fire them and to ask them to explain their work and demand that they do it the way we would like it done. this is a sad day for america. this is the kind of stuff you read about happening in the mid east or north korea or some other fifth world country. i guess the land of the free doesnt mean the same thing to this administration.

Nicaragua's legislature is expected today to approve a tough law that outlaws all forms of abortion, including those procedures intended to save the life of a pregnant woman.
The measure has been supported by most major political parties ahead of the Nov. 5 presidential election, as they seek to win over voters in this overwhelmingly Roman Catholic country. Leaders of the Catholic Church in Nicaragua helped draft the bill and have mobilized followers to support it.
Since the late 1980s, two other Latin American countries have adopted similar measures — El Salvador and Chile. At least 34 countries, mostly in Africa and the Middle East, prohibit all abortions, without exception, according to the Center for Reproductive Rights, a U.S.-based nonprofit advocacy group.
The new law would establish prison sentences of six to 30 years for women who abort their pregnancies and the doctors who perform the procedure
Women's groups in Nicaragua charge that the proposed law is a cynical preelection ploy that panders to the influence of the Catholic Church. The text of the law, they note, is almost identical to a church proposal drafted this year.
"The worst message of this proposed law is that the lives of women don't matter to this president, or to the government or the church," said Marta Maria Blandon, Central American director of Ipas, a U.S.-based reproductive rights group.
Ambassadors from some of the countries that donate millions of dollars in aid to Nicaragua, including Sweden and Finland, wrote to the legislators this week urging them not to rush to approve the measure. Nicaragua is one of the poorest nations in the hemisphere and depends heavily on foreign aid.

According to the World Development Indicators Database (2001) Nicaragua is a low-income country with an average Gross National Income (GNI) of less than US $745 per person. that bears repeating.....$745 per year. the catholic church should be selling off some of their priceless artifacts to help these people instead of forming laws. i wonder if the church is taxed there. by the way $745 per person per year makes them a low income country (no shit) while Bolivia, Guatemala and Honduras are lower middle-income countries with a GNI per person ranging from US $746-2,975.

ok so you've seen it. if your anything like me your shocked at how much hes shaking. i've seen him on boston legal and he wasnt shaking like that. at least not during his scenes but the shaking might have been edited out. hes stumping for claire because she is for stem cell research. her opponent (along with all the other bush cronies) pander to the religious right and oppose stem cell research. god himself hasnt voiced an opinion yet though i understand jesus and the holy spirit are leaning toward being in favor of it. those commercials were the big thing yesterday on the net. not today though. todays big thing is rush limbaugh. rush stated yesterday that he thought michael went off his medication to make it look worse or hes just acting. he is an actor rush pointed out. now to defend rush (and i dont do thast often) is there anyone who knows what its like to be off the pills then rush. wasnt he the guy who was buying oxycontin off of his maid. wasnt he caught running off to south america with a crap load of viagra. maybe it was another rush limbaugh with a radio show. anyway to get back to the topic...this just points out that rush limbaugh is a complete waste of life. hes morally bankrupt. he would say anything about anyone to defend the republicants. somewhere theres one of his sheeple who is quoting rush like gospel. hes telling everyone that michael j fox was faking it because rush told him so and rush wouldnt lie. i'm only suprised that he didnt blame the parkinsons on clinton.

the chorea that Michael J Fox has in that ad comes from chronic use of dopamine agonists in the context of Parkinson's. They're movements from the medicine, not the disease itself. Although he might have odd movements OFF of his meds, they wouldn't look like the ones in the ad. They'd look like the Parkinson's-like presentation of Muhammed Ali's Dementia Pugilistica.

In addition, those movements are hard to imitate accurately because they stem from circuits between the basal ganglia and cortex that you can't just turn off or on. Those aren't volitional circuits. There is little chance he was acting, and if he was, he could only accentuate slightly movements he already had. In other words, this is as tragic as it looks.

GOP to Air Ad Warning of Terror Attacks

The Republican Party will begin airing a hard-hitting ad this weekend that warns of more cataclysmic terror attacks against the U.S. homeland.
The ad portrays Osama bin Laden and quotes his threats against America dating to February 1998. "These are the stakes," the ad concludes. "Vote November 7."
Brian Jones, a spokesman for the Republican National Committee, said the ad would run on national cable beginning Sunday, but he declined to discuss specifics of the buy.
The commercial tracks with Republican Party strategy to make the war on terrorism a central theme of this election. It will air as recent polls show Republicans losing ground as the party best able to combat terrorism.
Last month, President Bush made the war against terrorism a recurrent topic in public appearances. But his message was drowned out by the e- mail sex scandal involving former Republican Rep. Mark Foley of Florida and by increasing fatalities in Iraq.
The ad displays an array of quotes from bin Laden and his top lieutenant, Ayman al-Zawahri, that include bin Laden's Dec. 26, 2001 vow that "what is yet to come will be even greater."
The ad also cites al-Zawahri's claim to have obtained "some suitcase bombs," followed by a scene that appears to show a nuclear explosion.

Two weeks ago at Caney Creek High School, a tenth grade English class was given “Fahrenheit 451″ as a reading assignment. But Diana Verm stopped after a few pages. She said she was offended by “the cussing in it and the burning of the Bible.”
Diana complained to her father. She was given an alternate reading assignment, but her dad is pushing the issue. It is ironic in the truest sense that a fictional book on book banning is now the target of a request to remove it from school curriculum.

A man who has portrayed Santa Claus was one of several men arrested in a two-day crackdown on sexual activity at a Logansport park this week, police said.
John Hopkins, 60, was arrested Wednesday at Spencer Park after he grabbed an undercover officer, according to Kokomo police, who helped Logansport police with the sting.
The white-bearded Hopkins told police that he has played Santa in the past. When an investigator found in Hopkins' truck a flier about an upcoming holiday event, Hopkins said he guessed he couldn't play Santa anymore because of the arrest, police said.

An 80-year-old German motorist has obediently followed his navigation system all the way into a huge pile of sand, abrubtly bringing his trip to an end.
The motorist ignored a motorway "closed for construction" sign and crashed his Mercedes into a pile of sand further down the road, police have said.
"The driver was following the orders from his navigation system and even though there was a sufficient number of warnings and barricades, he continued his journey into the construction site," a police spokeswoman has said


this isnt about the navigation sysytem...its about eighty year olds being alowwed to drive. i dont care how good they've kept it together they shouldnt be driving. he would have done this anyway. the navigation system just got him to do it faster. i can understand why the eskimoes put the elderly out on ice flows and let the polar bears eat them....it makes sense.

A coalition of religious leaders made a moral case Tuesday for legalizing the sale and possession of up to 1 ounce of marijuana for adults in Nevada while stiffening penalties for sales to youths and driving under the influence.
At least 33 members of the clergy have endorsed ballot Question 7 on the November election ballot, which if approved would make Nevada the first state in the nation to allow people 21 and older to legally possess small amounts of marijuana and purchase it at government regulated and state-taxed pot shops.
The clergy argued the move would cut down on minors' access to marijuana, reduce gang-related violence and generate money for the state to help finance treatment programs instead of making drug dealers rich.

Wilbanks and John Mason broke up for good in May, about a year after her excursion to Las Vegas and New Mexico made international headlines while hundreds searched for her back home in suburban Atlanta.
Television news reports say that Wilbanks seeks $250,000 as her share of a home Mason purchased through the partnership with proceeds from $500,000 received for selling their story to an agent. The reports say the lawsuit also seeks $250,000 in punitive damages for allegedly abusing the power of attorney she granted for him to handle their financial affairs.
Wilbanks also seeks the return of personal property she claims he has kept.
Wilbanks disappeared four days before her April 30, 2005, wedding. Hundres of police and volunteers searched for her for three days before she called Mason from Albuquerque, New Mexico, claiming to have been abducted and sexually assaulted.
She later recanted, saying she fled because of unspecified personal issues.

A high school girls' basketball coach was arrested on child pornography charges after detectives found homemade tapes of him having sex with an eighth-grade student in the 1990s, authorities said.
William ''Buck'' Lanham, 47, who has been coaching at Orlando Christian Prep since 2002, was arrested at the school Thursday and charged with possession of child pornography and possession of marijuana, Orange County sheriff's Sgt. Rich Mankewich said.
A phone message left for a William Lanham in Orlando was not returned and efforts to reach Lanham on Sunday were unsuccessful. Lanham is free on $25,000 bond.
A former player, now 23, told detectives in June she began a sexual relationship with Lanham when she was a 14-year-old at St. John Vianney Catholic School in the late 1990s.

An 18-year-old man was struck and killed by a train as he reportedly stood on the tracks and made an obscene gesture at the train, the Kenosha Sheriff's Department said Saturday.
Andrew J. Grosenick and Keith A. Lien, 18, both of Silver Lake, were using the tracks as a short cut home around 11:30 p.m. Friday, Lien told deputies.
Authorities say they believe both men were intoxicated at the time. A train approached and both men got off the tracks, but Grosenick walked back onto the track, Lien told investigators.

Harry Potter creator JK Rowling has been voted the author Americans most want to ban from libraries over fears that her books promote witchcraft.
The American Library Association (ALA), who compiled the list for their Banned Book Week, said there were more than 3,000 attempts to remove the books from libraries and schools between 2000 and 2005.
The ALA said some of the main reasons cited for protesters trying to get controversial books removed from circulation were sexually explicit material, having an occult theme or offensive language.
Other complaints highlighted books with violent content or promoting homosexuality or a religious viewpoint.
Other authors on the list include John Steinbeck, for racism, violent language and sexism in Of Mice and Men, Harper Lee for To Kill a Mocking-Bird and William Golding for Lord of the Flies.
Rowling said: "As this puts me in the company of Harper Lee, Mark Twain, JD Salinger, William Golding, John Steinbeck and other writers I revere, I take my annual inclusion on the list as a great honour."
An ALA spokesman said: "Banned Books Week celebrates the freedom to express one's opinion, even if it is considered unorthodox or unpopular and it stresses the importance of ensuring others have access to those viewpoints."

SALEM, New Hampshire (AP) -- A Maine couple accused of tying up their 19-year-old daughter, throwing her in their car and driving her out of state to get an abortion were upset because the baby's father is black, a Maine sheriff said Tuesday.
Katelyn Kampf, who is white, told Cumberland County Sheriff Mark Dion that her mother "was pretty irate at the fact that the child's father was black, and she had made a number of disparaging remarks about that," he said.
The parents were arraigned Monday on kidnapping charges. The judge set bail at $100,000 each and ordered the Kampfs to have no contact with their daughter.
Katelyn Kampf said her mother "kept referring to the baby as a thing, as 'It,' and there were other comments made," he said.
The boyfriend, 22-year-old Reme Johnson, last week began serving a 6-month sentence for theft at the Androscoggin County Jail in Auburn, Maine. He also has previous felony convictions for burglary and receiving stolen property, the Portland Press Herald reported.

The pontiff yesterday apologised for causing offence during a lecture last week. Quoting a medieval emperor, his words were taken to mean that he called the prophet Mohammed "evil and inhuman".
He insisted he was "deeply sorry" but his humbling words did not go far enough to silence all his critics or quell the violence and anger he has triggered. A nun was shot dead in Somalia by Islamic gunmen and churches came under attack in Palestine.
The 39-year-old lawyer organised demonstrations against the publication of cartoons of Mohammed in February in Denmark. Protesters carried placards declaring "Behead Those Who Insult Islam".
Yesterday he said: "The Muslims take their religion very seriously and non-Muslims must appreciate that and that must also understand that there may be serious consequences if you insult Islam and the prophet.
"Whoever insults the message of Mohammed is going to be subject to capital punishment."
He added: "I am here have a peaceful demonstration. But there may be people in Italy or other parts of the world who would carry that out.
"I think that warning needs to be understood by all people who want to insult Islam and want to insult the prophet of Islam."



let me start by saying "fuck mohammed". that being said these people are truly ridiculous. sure the pope is a dope (and a nazi if i remember my history) and of course at this time he probably shouldnt have said anything but what he said was a quote from the king of constantinople (or some other jerkoff from history) who used the muslims as an example of mot being able to forward your beliefs (ie: your religion) by the sword. you cant force people to believe in your god. it makes sense when you think about it but these muslims arent into sensible things. in a wonderful quote let me say...."let me splain, no that would take too long, let me sum up"

When gods words get twisted...........

well it seems a presbyterian minister in pittsburgh might be in some trouble. it seems she (at least give the presbys some credit for letting women have the good jobs) married a gay couple. i support gay marriage as long as both chicks are hot. she may get bounced out for this terrible travesty of church law. cmon if god really wanted gays to be treated right he would of said something to the effect of "everyone was created in my own image" or "do unto others as you would have them do unto you". oh......you say he did say those things....well....wow , that kind of puts organized religions in a bit of a pickle. seems they can quote old testament at some times and new testament at others and if the two disagree then they can pick the one the supports their thoughts at that time. dont fret though they reserve the right to use the other thought later if it supports what they are saying then. let me explain this again for everyone...god doesnt care if your gay. all god really says is you should praise him. its organized religion that cares if your gay and only for one reason......it cuts down on money for them. see gays dont have kids ergo they dont make new parishioners ie: less parishioners = less cash. its not e=mc2 but it does explain the mistreatment of gays by organized religion. i still fine in inexplicable why the catholic church hates women though i have my ideas there too. i'm sure if you could ask god right now how he feels he would really feel great how so called religious groups mistreat some of his creations.

Remembering.................

ok, so today is the five year anniversary of 9-11. as you can tell from my blog i'm given to deep introspective thought. a couple thoughts i will share with you .....

of course its the fifth anniversary. my son is starting fifth grade and that happened on his second or third day of school. i left work early because i work in downtown pittsburgh and they were talking about closing the bridges and i didnt want to be stuck on that side of the river. i talked to my wife and she said i should go pick him up from school. ok, we overreacted but nobody knew what was going on and things were crazy that day. i remember looking at him and feeling sorry for him because his world really changed that day. i tried to explain to him what was going on but how do explain insanity to a six year old.

i know i'm going to be pounded with memorial shows today but i really dont need that to remember. i remember. sometimes all too well. these shows dont make me want peace they piss me off. i find myself hating muslims for this. all of this nonsense done over religion. how ridiculous is that. i know there are good muslims....dont go crazy but i can assure you that the muslims in this country know that they are greatly outnumbered....so of course they want to get along but if the odds were different they would be just as intolerant as their kin in the mideast. i'm very tired of people killing other people because a made up god from a made up religion told them too. no offense, i want peace but if comes down to me or muslims then they gotta go. this goes for fundamentalist christians too.

this will define a generation. just as the civil war, the stock market crashing, the world wars and jfk being shot did. the picture of the fireman raising a flag at ground zero are as ingrained in my head as the photo of men raising a flag at iwo jima or some guy bending a broad over and kissing her in times square were to my parents and grandparents. what really defines this generation though is the feeling that nothing will ever be resolved. i dont feel any safer than i did on that day. i feel that this administrations lack of intelligence (mostly the lack of intelligence shown by our president) will keep this war on terror going forever.

Bye bye croc hunter...............

so i wake up monday and turn on the tv in my bedroom and the news hits me with the fact that steve irwin is dead. it took a minute to sink in but then i remembered the croc hunter. one of only two celebrities from down under (you figure out the other). my wife immediately turned to me and said "you called that one honey". thats right folks ... i saw that one coming. this guy had no respect for animals at all. they are called wild animals for a reason.......they are wild. the are skittish and unpredictable. he didnt care though. he would kiss the snake right on the lips. he nuzzled up to the croc. he had it coming. i didnt see his show alot...ok i saw it once and he was bit by snakes maybe...ten times during the show. i thought then that that might be the most irresponsible animal show ever. that show did two things. it either showed kids that snake bites were cool and wouldnt hurt you or it traumatized kids. he didnt teach kids to respect animals. he wasnt a teacher in any manner..he was a showman. he should have been doing this act in the circus instead of tv. i find that the news agencies are showing his video where he was taunting a croc with his new born baby to say it all about him.

lessons learned today:

1. wild animals are wild. they do unpredictable things. they will kill you.
2. dont mess with animals you know nothing about.
3. respect animals...even tame house pets.

Random thoughts............

pluto will always be a planet to me. i grew up knowing that there was nine planets and i'm not going to change because some eggheads dont like the size of the ninth. planet, dwarf planet, asteroid....who cares. why dont the scientists get together and cure cancer. the world isnt as bad as we think when this is the burning question of the day. and isnt this just like bullies....always picking on the smallest one. that little planet has heart. well to hell with them lets all get together and just keep refering to the solar system (which is still the best solar system and to say otherwise would be anti american) as having nine planets. lets not lose pluto.

debra lafave is going to be interviewed by matt lauer. you might remember her as the incredibly hot teacher who slept with an underage student. i cant think of too many teachers i would have liked to sleep with but she would have been one. this kid wasnt traumatized...hes still bragging about tapping her. you just know matt lauer will screw this up. he wont ask good questions. let me interview this broad and we would get a great story.

WATERTOWN, N.Y. Aug 21, 2006 (AP)— The minister of a church that dismissed a female Sunday School teacher after adopting what it called a literal interpretation of the Bible says a woman can perform any job outside of the church.
The First Baptist Church dismissed Mary Lambert on Aug. 9 with a letter explaining that the church had adopted an interpretation that prohibits women from teaching men. She had taught there for 54 years.
The letter quoted the first epistle to Timothy: "I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent."
The Rev. Timothy LaBouf, who also serves on the Watertown City Council, issued a statement saying his stance against women teaching men in Sunday school would not affect his decisions as a city leader in Watertown, where all five members of the council are men but the city manager who runs the city's day-to-day operations is a woman.
"I believe that a woman can perform any job and fulfill any responsibility that she desires to" outside of the church, LaBouf wrote Saturday.
Mayor Jeffrey Graham, however, was bothered by the reasons given Lambert's dismissal.
"If what's said in that letter reflects the councilman's views, those are disturbing remarks in this day and age," Graham said. "Maybe they wouldn't have been disturbing 500 years ago, but they are now."
Lambert has publicly criticized the decision, but the church did not publicly address the matter until Saturday, a day after its board met.
In a statement, the board said other issues were behind Lambert's dismissal, but it did not say what they were.

What is wrong with us.......

i'm watching tv when it occurs to me that all there is to watch now is sports and reality shows. people used to say that shows like nypd blue and the west wing were too smart for america....and they may be right. the flavor of love is just some whores humiliating themselves trying to get a retarded midget with a huge clock on a chain to pick them so there fifteen minutes arent up. celebrity fat club is just some out of work d listers who put on some tonage while they havent been working humiliating themselves just trying to get fifteen more minutes. whats the common denominator.....people willing to humilate themselves to get fifteen more minutes. the term celebreality has been coined. if your on one of those shows you are not a celebrity. the one that got my goat right now is america got talent. i think that it should be retitled "america doesnt have near as much talent as it thinks" but someone pointed out to me that it might be better titled america got talent with a question mark. "america got talent?". its very good but i'm sure thats way too subtle for most people. anyway this show is akin to the gong show (which suprisingly didnt take itself as seriously) in that it rolls out half assed acts and then rates them. the judges fit the mold that all these shows use now. it has one mean spirited english guy, one woman that loves everyone (no matter how inane the act is) and another retarded guy. in this case its the hoff. by the hoff i am refering to david hasselhoff. my apologies to retards everywhere. as i watched the show i saw them actually hammer a few acts that were remotely talented but the fawned over .......rappin granny. rappin granny is an old black woman that wears an old granny dress and tries to rap. she is to rap what the hoff is to pop music (by that i mean that the germans would love her but she sucks). she keeps getting passed through and at first i said that if she wasnt black she wouldnt have made it at all....but i am reconsidering that. i think any old crone they would have tossed up there with that act would have made it. suffice to say she wouldnt have won on the old gong show. shes in the finals and dont be suprised if she wins. what does this say about america. it says that "america got talent?".

i'm going paul harvey on your asses today. today i'm going to tell you a story about a young man who had the world by the ass and was too stupid to grab a piece. this young man was the star of the 2002 ohio state football team. a freshman who led the team to the national championship. he scored the winning touchdown and the future looked rosy. he went afoul of some of the rules and decided to quit the team before being thrown off of it. he then decided to go into the nfl draft but due to the fact that they had a rule against someone that young being in the nfl he couldnt. he then took the nfl to court but due to the fact that he was one young man and the nfl has f you money he didnt win. he sat out a year in which he was arrested and and had some other troubles. he was so talented that an nfl team took a chance on him on the first day of the draft and even though he knew he was on shaky ground he showed up fat and out of shape and was cut. having some children he needed to support he had to work so he went and got on an indoor football team of some sort. just two nights ago he ran afould of the law once again. after making an illegal u-turn he tried to outrun the cops. he crossed the median and kept going. he the pulled into the parking lot of a store and wouldnt get out of the car. the cops pulled him out and when he became unruly they tasered him. it didnt work due to the fact that he was wearing a bullet proof vest. they then pepper sprayed him and after a struggle cuffed him. he continued to struggle up to and including being put into the paddy wagon. in the automobile was found

a. one half empty bottle of vodka
b. a pistol
c. a semi automatic handgun
d. an assault rifle
e. another assault rifle
f. a hatchet

the police never checked him for drunk driving so bad were the other offences. who is this young man you ask? the answer is maurice claret. this may be the largest case of wasted potential ever. coming to his defense was his coach who said hes seen players do worse. worse? did one of his players have a rocket launcher? how could anyone defend that? believe me there are cases where the cops have made mistakes with people but this aint one of them (before anyone gives me any shit i defend the cops and are thrilled that someone would risk his life to defend us so get off my back already). this loser has used up all his chances. he should be locked up now. if it wasnt for being able to run a good forty time he would be already. you and i would be for sure. and whats up with the hatchet. the assault rifles werent enough. was he afraid he might be attacked by a tree? dude, when your pulling all this shit together to put in the car, after putting on the bullet proof vest and getting four guns just leave the hatchet at home. do you think he passed up other vests to get to the bullet proof one. denim? no. leather? no. hey this kevlar matches my shoes. just for the record any time you leave the house with a bullet proof vest on......the night isnt going to end well. thats just a good rule of thumb. anyone think that the cincinnati bengals are reading the police report and thinking ....wow it took several cops to bring him down. we need someone like that for our goal line offense...and he fits our player profile. i stole those last lines but they are so goddamn funny i had to.

Conflicts between faith and reason.....

i was flipping through some tv shows the other night when i came acrosssomething new to me. the colbert report had on bill donohue. if you are not familiar with bill donohue (and i wasnt) hes the mouthpiece for the catholic league. if you arent familiar with the catholic league (and i wasnt) you should be. the catholic league is to catholics what the jewish defense league is to jews. or it should be. the catholic league promotes itself as being for "religious and civil rights". being a catholic (albeit not a very good one) i'm suprised i never heard of it. maybe this group is only for the very devout of the faith (of which i am not). actually what it seems to me they are for is to stop anyone from putting down the catholic church and to go after the competition (ie: other religions).
their website has alot of interesting articles. one of my favorites is the many stories that point out what a great pope pius the twelth was. for those who dont remember history he was the pope who turned a blind eye towards the nazis as they exterminated jews (or as the church likes to call them ...the competition). they also have a very nice tirade against the tv show south park. apparently those guys showed an episode that showed a statue of the virgin mary spraying blood from her vagina onto a picture of pope benedict the sixteenth...or as i like to call him poep nazi. they are mad because the guy that they had cowed at comedy central, who had promised not to show it ever again, left and the new guy is beholden to the catholic league. i guess being for civil rights doesnt apply to free speech.
my favorite though is their outright forgiveness and ability to stand behind mel gibson. you might remember mel as americas favorite drunk driver and anti-semite. sure his apology (which was written for him by his publicist) was, as they state, "a model of contrition". they point out that mels enemies lack forgiveness. i cant understand those people. mel put out a movie where it shows the jews killing christ, he has said in an interview that the holocaust is a numbers game, his father spews hate and says the holocaust never happened...etc. why wont they forgive him?
in retrospect the catholic league isnt for justice and understanding and civil rights its about a very wealthy institution trying to intimidate people. i do encourage everyone to go to their site and see what they spew though. its www.catholicleague.org.

Office obsevations..........

i stopped as i usually do at the bp station first thing in the morning for my paper and morning fill of sarcasm from the manager. she pointed out ,sarcastically i might add, how she loves her job. then another customer laughed and said she "really" loved her job. it occurred to me that nobody i know really loves their job. i dont know anyone who wakes up and says "wow, i cant wait to get to work today". i know i dont. every day its harder and harder for me to pull my tired ass out of bed and crawl into this swirling, sucking eddy of despair that i call a job. this place sucks more than a stripper in the champagne room trying for a big tip. my boss is the cowardly lion, our bookkeeper is like dustin hoffman in rainman...only hes not good with numbers, the sales manager is just biding his time to retirement.....well you get the story. i look forward to my boss going on vacation so i can malign my own work for a week. so as i sit in my office, waiting for the warm embrace of deaths steely grip, i wonder if anyone loves their job. i start to think of the perfect job and how those people hate it. you know there is some baseball player who is thinking that he cant believe hes playing a kids game for 200k a week. he cant believe that that he walks out onto the grass under the sun for less than 400k a week. you know the photographer from playboy is trouble getting motivated to snap pictures of gorgeous naked women. "if i have to put rouge on one more set of light pink nipples i'm going to shit" he would say. or maybe not. i wouldnt. at least i have a office and i'm not stuck in a cubicle. i was trying to explain to my genius 10 year old son what prarie dogging is. i thought it would be nice to scare him about work at an early age. this should hopefully inspire him to do well in school and own his own business. at least then the retarded rules would be his own.

two years ago i mentioned that mel gibson was , just maybe, an anti-semite. people got mad at me. they told me he was just devout in his faith. they told me he wasnt like his father. well look how right i was. seems mel really is an antisemitic jackass afterall. apparently the acorn doesnt fall far from the tree. in this case mels dad (who seems to be an adolph hitler jr.) probably read mein kampe to mel as a child. and please dont even try to bring up that its the jack daniels talking....thats a bullshit excuse. in vino veritas. liquor doesnt bring out your problems...it magnifies them. like him or not mel gibson is just another racist piece of shit.

the pittsburgh nine (also known as the pirates) have once again been sellers at the trading deadline instead of buyers. thirteen losing seasons in a row will do that to you. the trades have turned this team from a really bad team to a .....well, really bad team. nothing has changed. the owners are making some bread from this pathetic team and really dont care to spend enough to make it a winner. what a waste of the finest baseball park in the game. the best thing people in pittsburgh can do is to quit going to the games and maybe the owners will get the message.

we also ordained eight women as priests here in the burg. the catholic church is up in arms. they say that christ didnt want women to be priests. who knows what christ wanted. the church has screwed around with the bible so much that it only states what they want it to say. this is a case of the old boys wanting to keep women out of the club which really doesnt make sense considering the shortage of priests. i still cant understand why any woman with a brain would go within thirty feet of a catholic church. its apparent that they dont like women. hell the bible blames everything on women. lets just hope that the catholic church runs out of priests and just dries up and blows away.

Remember when..............

i loike the history channel. its one of the few tv channels that you can actually learn something by watching. one of the things i like is watching old powers fall. you have to wonder what happened to england and france. they once ruled most of the world but now........eh, not so much. this last weekend pointed out alot about those countries that i see as having been directly related to their fall.

first is the british open. oh i dont care that tiger went right through them what gets me is it was played off a golf course that looks worse than my back yard. sure i have been lax in picking up the dog shit and i only mow it once a week but it still looks better than the course at the ancient and wonderful (or whatever they call it) club at liverpool. that match looked like someone held a golf outing at an airport and they were playing off of the tarmac. why dont we hold the next tournament in a mall parking lot. now i know that all courses dont look like lush tropical lawns like american courses but that was pathetic. the worst part is that the course is right along the irish sea. its called irrigation....look into it. people have been irigating since before christ. how do you expect to be a world power when you cant even bring water fifty feet to a golf course. needless to say your not a world power. sure you get to go to the meetings with the other world powers but thats only because your friends with the usa. its like being friends with the star football player in high school......sure you get to tag along to all the great parties but that doesnt mean you'll be sleeping with a cheerleader tonight.

next is france. they hold the tour de france. before you start thinking thats a really special name that must be important remember.......its a bicycle race. its like nascar.....only slower. they were so proud that for years americans never did well in it. we didnt win it for like the first seventy five years but lately...well, we own them. americans have won eleven of the last twenty one and the last eight in a row. thats not the worst part. the american who won it this year needs a hip replacement. that needs to be repeated........a hip replacement. how can a guy who needs a hip replacement win the most prestigious bike race in the world. i'm going to enter my mother in law next year, she needs a hip replacement too. i wonder where te guy in the wheelchair or the guy in the walker finished. oh well needless to say frnace isnt a world power either. they can rant and rave on the world stage and withhold snails from us but in reality.....they really dont count. i did find their treelined streets to quaint but i understand those trees were planted mostly so the nazis could march in the shade. thanks to us you frogs arent speaking german right now.

well lets just jump in with both feet. first, it just shows how screwed up the world is right now when israel is mad at hezzbolah, which is funded by syria and iran , and it makes sense to me that they are blowing up lebanon even as we speak. the longer this all goes on the better nuking them all and starting over sounds. wasnt one of the byproducts of the war in iraq going to be lower gas prices. when does it become time to go after the guys that are really the bad ones. why dont we blow up iran and syria and tell the rest of the ragheads to shut up or their next. when are we going to learn to drill sideways so we can suck the oil out from under them and take away their trump card. in what well run universe would the nuttiest people be given a lock on the most important substance in the world. god mad a mistake here.

second, thank god we arent allowing stem cell research. who the hell would want a cure to diseases that have plagued mankind forever. you know the pharmacuetical companies dont want cures found and i guess god doesnt want them found either because he talks to our president and he vetoed it. hes worried that they may find the cure for stupidity and he will be cured. watching senator brownback explain why it shouldnt be allowed is like hearing my daughter discuss jet propulsion .....without the good logic that is. please , can we just stop religion from taking over our government. if they promise not to bring up god while making decisions i promise not to go think in their church. deal?

third, these would be the big stories if it wasnt for those pesky gays wanting their rights that they were promised in the constitution. i can understand the founding fathers not wanting to give rights to brown people or , god forbid, women but why discriminate against the gays. the didnt work in the fields. they didnt have to raise the kids. whats the big deal? i'll tell you what the big deal is. if you give gays their rights then everyone will want them......and we just cant have that....can we? thank god our legislators are wise enough to put things like the war going poorly, gas prices going through the roof, the stock market dropping like a stone..etc. until these pesky gays are put in their place.

which brings us to the final thing ........THE RAPTURE. its happening kids. look around. tsunamis, earthquakes, heat waves, hurricanes, bush in the white house....er, strike that one. well you see my point. everything points to god being pissed. lets look a little more closely at this. why did god give the oil to the caziest people, why did he make gays, what kind of well run universe is this? these are questions that we need answered. i used to think that god is delegating too much. in the old testament he was always kicking ass. he doesnt come around anymore. we are like a toy he got tired of playing with. back in the day a country like iran would give good god fearing christians and jews the willies and next thing you knew ........fire and brimstone. problem solved. where is that today? maybe god has outsourced his work to india. you have to admit that explains alot. is it too farfetched to believe that the people who are fucking up dells help desk could be fucking up the universe.
