Something to keep in mind......

Let's all shop at Sears!!!
I assume you have all seen the reports about how Sears is treating its reservist employees who are called up? By law, they are required to hold their jobs open and available, but nothing more. Usually, people take a big pay cut and lose benefits as a result of being called up.. Sears is voluntarily paying the difference in salaries and maintaining all benefits, including medical insurance and bonus programs, for all called up reservist employees for up to two years. I submit that Sears is an exemplary corporate citizen and should be recognized for its contribution.Suggest we all shop at Sears, and be sure to find a manager to tell them why we are there so the company gets the positive reinforcement it well deserves.

i doubt that wal-mart would do the same. at this time its unbelievable that acompany would do this and as such should be rewarded.

i looked this up on snopes and it is true.

I've had a love-hate relationship with Sears over the years. I wish they were a little more consistent. I was a big fan in the 1970's, but then they started letting me down. It seemed like every time I went in, they didn't have what I wanted. I once worked in a mall with a Sears anchor store. Once on the way out of the parking lot, my windshield wiper disintegrated. I went into Sears Automotive. "Oh, we stopped selling those" I was told. They were a state inspection station! How stupid is that? I once picked up some excellent Sears brand dress shirts for a song because they were discontinuing the line! They just don't know what they have, or how to market it! They killed the catalog before they were ready to move into Internet sales. If they knew what they were doing, Wal-Mart would never have stood a chance.

On the flip side, they have some better quality items at the best price in town. I will definitely shop there, even if I think the upper management is retarded. At least their hearts are in the right place. I won't veture to guess where their heads might be found.

Oh yeah. About your last comment on my blog. I can't say I blame you. They all start to sound the same after a while.

I think you're right, this isn't something most big box stores would do.
