Oscar talk.............

ok, i admit it. i watched the oscars last night. i was really only watching to see jon stewart host but i must admit (and god help me for telling you this) i liked the show. i thought it was done well. now i must admit that i didnt see any of the movies that were nominated (none of them having an animated dinosaur in them) but i was pulling for brokeback mountain to win. i'm not sure why. maybe it was because it would piss off most of the red states. maybe it was because it was something completely different. maybe it was because of all the press. hell, i dont know. i did think that E had a pretty funny thing before the show when they said they were going to interview a group from middle america (some place in kansas that is in the geographical center of the u.s.). it turns out that the group was a bunch of old women. i mean old kids. it looked like late 60's to 80's. they were all willing to badmouth brokeback mountain though none had actually seen the movie. isnt that typical. even though none of those hags vote it didnt help brokeback at all. it still got upset by crash. i also never agree with the critics off the womens dresses. looking in the burgs little podunk paperi see their list of good and bad. ok, i'm a guy. maybe i'm looking at other things but i know what works for me and what doesnt. what works.....jessica alba in her halter dress looked hot though shes anorexic like everyone else in hollywood. i thought sandra bullock looked good (even though the paper didnt). on the other hand the paper loved keira knightley and charlize theron. to me its more than just the dress. i dont understand how kiera knightley is ever considered attractive. shes pale as a ghost, her hair looked like shit, shes anorexic and has no breasts. now dont get me wrong, everyone doesnt need huge breasts but she has less than me. to me she looks like a meth addict that someone slapped a gown on. charlize (who i really think is hot) was wearing a dress that i didnt get. it had a huge bow on her shoulder. i mean huge...the bow was bigger than her head. salma hayek (who i think is smokin hot) had on a weird dress. it really showed off her funbags but the one strap that went to her shoulder made her look like she had one and one half huge breasts. as for the men......who cares. wear a tux and you really cant go wrong. well thats my half assed look at the oscars. i'm glad clooney and reese witherspoon won. i'm sorry joaquin phoenix didnt win only because hes really unstable mentally and his speech might have been memorable.

well enough is enough. lets get the week rolling along.

It was the best OSCAR show in awhile. JON Stewart's monolgue was good and his ad-libs throughtout were good. Speaking of breasts, the 2 pregnant women - Jennifer Gardiner & Rachel Weisz looked like they had enough milk for quintuplets. The guy who won for CAPOTE - Philip Seymour Huffman was great - he had Capote's talk, walk, mannierisms, etc down to a T.

I saw bits and pieces of the OSCAR's. I thought Jon Stewart's joke about Bjork (and her dress) being shot by Dick Cheney was good. It's hard to believe that Phillip Seymour Hoffman was "Dusty" in Twister (which was a great part for him). He has come a long way! Brokeback Mt. only got best director. As a Redskin fan, I hate "Cowboys" whether their gay or straight.
