Maybe if you won a game.........

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -Donovan McNabb smiled when a reporter asked for his opinion on the upcoming opponent and pumped his fist when the next question was about his poor start.
Once the topic switched to McNabb's comment about black quarterbacks, his mood changed quickly.
In a bizarre interview that ended with McNabb walking off the podium at the Philadelphia Eagles practice facility Wednesday, the five-time Pro Bowl quarterback reiterated his statement on HBO that black QBs face greater scrutiny than their white counterparts.
"It's just reality," McNabb said. "It's something that I've been a part of and other quarterbacks before and after me have been a part of. Did I expect any backlash? Yeah. Everything I say, I expect backlash from it."
McNabb displayed a variety of emotions while getting peppered with questions on the race issue. He was perplexed and defensive - and looked more uncomfortable than he does standing in the pocket on his surgically repaired knee under a heavy rush.

"People are trying to dig too deep in this whole situation," he said. "I wasn't pinpointing particular people. What I said was the fact that we (black QBs) have to do a little extra. No matter the style of play you're displaying, there's always going to be criticism."
Asked if any quarterback was criticized more than Chicago's Rex Grossman last year, McNabb said: "I wouldn't know."
He then mentioned Peyton Manning, Carson Palmer, Tom Brady, Hall of Famer Steve Young and Jake Plummer.
"I never said Peyton doesn't get criticized. I never said Carson doesn't get criticized. I never said Tom doesn't get criticized, because they do," McNabb said. "They talked about Peyton not winning the big game. They talked about Tom Brady and his baby and girlfriend. We get criticized a little differently."

In a blog posting Wednesday night, McNabb referred to criticism levied on him by the president of the Philadelphia branch of the NAACP in December 2005 for scrambling less as his career progressed.
"I bet Fran Tarkenton, Steve Young, Jake Plummer, and Doug Flutie have never been told by a member of any racial consciousness organization that they don't play the quarterback position white enough," McNabb wrote.
J. Whyatt Mondesire, the publisher of the Philadelphia Sunday Sun, a black newspaper, wrote in a column that McNabb was "mediocre" and that he found it insulting that McNabb had "concocted reasoning that African American quarterbacks who can scramble and who can run the ball are somehow lesser field generals."
--------------------------------------------------------------
does anyone really care if a quarterback is black or not. you know what matters....winning. you dont want to be criticized? start winning. why does he even respond to a guy from the naacp criticizing him. this guy never played pro ball. he never got his knee injured. and that guy from the "black paper" called him mediocre....well if your writing for a "black paper" then you are mediocre. you want to help donovan? get him some recievers who can get open.
in the meantime....shut up donovan...........

Thank you president bush...............

Canadian Dollar Trades Equal to U.S. for First Time Since 1976
By Haris Anwar and Theophilos Argitis

Sept. 20 (Bloomberg) -- Canada's dollar traded equal to the U.S. currency for the first time in three decades, capping a five-year run on the back of booming demand for the nation's commodities.
The Canadian dollar rose as high as $1.0008, before retreating to 99.87 U.S. cents at 4:16 p.m. in New York. It has soared 62 percent from a record low of 61.76 U.S. cents in 2002. The U.S. dollar fell as low as 99.93 Canadian cents today. The Canadian currency last closed above $1 on Nov. 25, 1976, when Pierre Trudeau was Canada's prime minister.
The move to parity marks a milestone for a currency dubbed the loonie for the bird that adorns the nation's one-dollar coin. Parity also symbolizes Canada's emerging clout in a world economy increasingly short of the energy, grains and metals the country produces.
``It's a long time since those heady days,'' said Frank McKenna, 59, deputy chairman of Toronto-Dominion Bank, the country's third-biggest lender, and a former ambassador to the U.S. ``Canadians should understand that this is a badge of confidence in our country.''
Canada, the world's eighth-biggest economy, has benefited from rising demand for copper, gold, wheat and oil from neighboring U.S. and emerging economies such as India and China. The country is the world's largest producer of uranium, the second-biggest exporter of natural gas, and sits on the largest pool of oil reserves outside the Middle East. Canada is also the world's second-largest exporter of wheat, which rose to a record this month.
Commodities Soar
The Reuters/Jefferies CRB Index of global commodities has risen 69 percent since January 2002 on growing demand from China and other Asian economies, boosting the value of Canadian exports and triggering investment in new mines and other resource projects. Canada's economy will be the fastest-growing among the Group of Seven nations in 2008, with an expected pace of 2.9 percent, the International Monetary Fund estimated in April.
Foreign investors are rushing into the country to tap into the boom, boosting demand for the Canadian currency. Canadian companies have been involved in announced takeovers worth $287 billion this year, surpassing the record $275 billion for all of 2006, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. The dollar almost gained a full cent on July 12, the day Rio Tinto Group offered $38.1 billion for Montreal-based Alcan Inc., the world's No. 2 aluminum producer.
Canada, which has run 10 consecutive annual budget surpluses, is using the world's growing reliance on its commodities to bolster its stature globally.
Energy Power
Prime Minister Stephen Harper has called the North American country an ``energy superpower,'' and asserted sovereignty in the Arctic, pitting Canada's claims against Russia and the U.S. Harper also has sought to increase Canada's influence in Latin America by signing trade deals and touting the country as an alternative energy source to Venezuela.
``Parity heralds Canada's reemergence on the world's economic stage,'' said Michael Gregory, a senior economist at BMO Capital Markets in Toronto.
To be sure, the stronger Canadian currency comes at a cost to some areas of the economy, from lumber producers in British Columbia to carmakers in Ontario. The stronger dollar makes their products more expensive abroad.
``We've got a speculative bubble in the Canadian dollar,'' said Stephen Jarislowsky, chief executive officer of Montreal- based Jarislowsky Fraser Ltd., which manages about $62.6 billion. ``Parity will be an unmitigated disaster for Canada. It spells -- in the not too distant future -- a major recession, at least in eastern Canada if not the rest of the country.''
Job Cuts
The Forest Products Association of Canada, an Ottawa-based lobby group, estimates 110,000 jobs have been lost in the manufacturing industry since 2002, almost a third of them in the forest sector.
The surging currency also reflects U.S. dollar weakness against all major currencies. The U.S. dollar has posted losses over the past five years against all but one of the 16 major currencies tracked by Bloomberg on concern about the nation's budget and trade imbalances, and a housing slump.
``We are going to feel the effects of the downturn in the U.S. housing market, because we are an exporter of housing materials,'' Finance Minister Jim Flaherty said in an interview in Ottawa. ``But overall we have a strong Canadian economy, our economic fundamentals are the strongest in the G-7. So we are well positioned to weather this storm.''
Offset Slump
So far, growing demand for commodities and other industrial goods produced in Canada is more than offsetting the slump in manufacturing. Canada has generated 32 consecutive quarters of current account surpluses, with receipts from outside Canada exceeding payments sent abroad by C$187 billion ($187 billion) over the period. The jobless rate remains at a 33-year low of 6 percent.
``In a resource economy, and Canada is still largely a resource economy, you'll find the exchange rate will move up and down with commodities,'' said Neil Camarta, senior vice president of oil sands at Petro-Canada, the country's third-biggest oil and gas producer.
The country is also lessening its dependence on the slowing U.S. economy, with U.S. shipments accounting for 76 percent of exports in July, down from 85 percent in 2002. Exports to the U.S. fell 3.3 percent in July, yet were up 29 percent to the European Union and 65 percent to China.
And while the U.S. Federal Reserve cut interest rates on Sept. 18 to revive growth, Canada's central bank raised rates in July and may increase them again this year to stem inflation, futures contracts show.
Good Indication
``Currency markets are a good indication relative to the country,'' said Richard Waugh, chief executive officer of Toronto-based Bank of Nova Scotia, the No. 2 bank. Waugh predicted in a March interview that the currency would reach parity.
For McKenna, the move to parity reminds him of a time when he was a boy in the 1960s, selling strawberries to U.S. tourists on the roadside in his native New Brunswick. Back then, the Canadian dollar was worth more than American money.
``It was difficult to make change,'' he recalled. ``So we used to give them a break (and) treat the currencies at par.''

Yyyeeeeeoooowwwwwwwwww..........

LAKE ELSINORE - Three men have been charged with kidnapping and assault in a case worthy of a cult movie plot.
A 48-year-old Lake Elsinore woman has accused the three of abducting, beating and dumping her in Mexico late last month.
The accused are the 45-year-old man the woman had been living with and two of his friends, said Detective Joe Greco of the Lake Elsinore Police Department. Greco said one of the men is nicknamed "No Nose" because his face is disfigured from a gunshot wound suffered years ago.

Hours after being left battered and bruised, the woman reappeared on her boyfriend's Lake Elsinore doorstep demanding that he pay her $300 fare for a cab ride from the U.S-Mexico border.
"It's like something out of a Quentin Tarantino movie," Greco said. "The whole thing is just bizarre."
The woman, whose name was not disclosed, told police that her live-in boyfriend of about three years, Donald Darcy Turk, 45, and two of his friends abducted her Aug. 25, Greco said.
"He's been violent toward her in the past," Greco said of Turk, adding that police had been called to the couple's home before on reports of domestic violence.
"They hatched this plan to get rid of her because she's a pain to the boyfriend," Greco said. "They all just said she was a nag."

The woman told investigators that her boyfriend, along with Robert Wayne "No Nose" Gardner, 47, and Robert Paul McCabe, 38, a man who had been doing work around the couple's house, kidnapped her from the garage on a Saturday morning. They used duct tape and handcuffs to restrain her, Greco said.
The woman was driven across the border, and when she was crying at one point, one of the men stomped on her head, Greco said.
The men threatened to kill her, Greco said, but instead beat her up and dumped her near a Rosarito Beach motel.
Apparently, Greco said, the woman was able to connect with the Mexican federal police, who gave her a ride to the border, and there she persuaded a taxi driver to take her to Lake Elsinore.
When the woman got home, she confronted Turk.

"She made him write a check for the cab," Greco said. Turk then left for his ex-wife's house in Redondo Beach, where a birthday party for one of his children was planned.
The next day, the girlfriend reported the incident to police, and investigators arrested Turk at the party, Greco said. McCabe and Gardner were also arrested Aug. 27.
McCabe confessed, Greco said, but Gardner denied kidnapping and beating the woman, saying they were all drinking at the beach in Mexico together and just left her there.
Both men have pleaded not guilty to all charges, court records show.
Turk's arraignment is scheduled for next week.
Neighbors told investigators that they heard a lot of noise coming from the house the morning of the abduction. When a neighbor later asked Turk about his girlfriend, Greco said, "He said he got rid of her in Mexico, and that she wouldn't be coming back."
Turk posted $50,000 bond and was released Aug. 27, jail records show. McCabe and Gardner were still in jail Monday.

ok, again we come across a story that just writes itself.
they live together and hes hit her before. now i know there is a pathology there that i cant understand but still, its time to move. sure , shes a nag, but do you drive her to florida and leave her there? and saying that you were partying there and just left her isnt much better. he sounds like a real keeper. any bets on wether these people live in a trailer park or not? after all that she comes back to him and he writes out a check for the cab...so he is a romantic.
but thats not even the oddest thing in this story. ol' no nose is. check out that picture. i couldnt even hang with a guy that freaky looking (even if he would help me dump a chick in mexico). he lost his nose in a shotgun accident.
that bears repeating..........a shotgun accident. we should hook him up with the carnival guy and he can have sex in the back of his suv............

Fundamentalists = fun + mental....

LEWISTON - A Lewiston woman who was upset by the content of an acclaimed sex education book published 14 years ago has checked out copies from two libraries and refuses to give them back.
"Since I have been sufficiently horrified of the illustrations and the sexually graphic, amoral abnormal contents, I will not be returning the books," JoAn Karkos wrote the Lewiston and Auburn public libraries last month.
Each letter was accompanied by a check for $20.95 to cover the cost of the book, "It's Perfectly Normal: Changing Bodies, Growing Up, Sex & Sexual Health."
"This has never happened before," said Rick Speer, director of the Lewiston Public Library. "It is clearly theft."
Speer returned the check, along with a form Karkos could use to request that the book be removed from library shelves. But he said he may seek help from police if she doesn't return what she borrowed.
"That's really what we want," Speer said. "We want the book back."
Written by Robie H. Harris and illustrated by Michael Emberley, the book features frank but cartoon-like illustrations of naked people in chapters on topics that include abstinence, masturbation and sexually transmitted diseases.
The publisher, Massachusetts-based Candlewick Press, said "It's Perfectly Normal" has been sold in 25 countries and translated into 21 languages.
Karkos, 64, said in an interview Tuesday that she first heard of the book from the American Life League, an anti-abortion group. She felt compelled to act after she checked out the book and found it to be "pornographic" and worse than she originally feared.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
can we please just throw people like this in jail? i hate when people are going to tell me what i can and cannot read based on their beliefs. because an imaginary guy in the sky has made this woman ashamed of her body shes going to be the moral compass for all of us. i just say that we should send the swat team over to her house, break down the door and get the two books back....and while they are there they can staple her check to her forehead....

So much wrong with this story............

MOSCOW, Idaho — A 22-year-old carnival worker blames two friends having sexual intercourse in the back seat of his car for an accident in which his Chevrolet S-10 Blazer struck a telephone pole.
Joshua D. Frank, who is living in a trailer parked on the Latah County Fairgrounds, pleaded guilty Monday to a misdemeanor charge of failing to notify a police officer of a traffic accident. That's after he left the vehicle at the site of the mishap. He was fined $188.
Frank told Moscow Police Department officers that he was driving the vehicle near downtown early Saturday while a man and woman were having sex in the rear of the vehicle.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Frank told authorities that the actions of the pair in the back caused the Blazer, which "was top heavy anyway," to become "tippy" and lose control.
Frank left the accident scene with a minor head wound and returned to his trailer.
The other two occupants of the vehicle were treated for injuries, according to the affidavit, though further information on their condition wasn't available.

do i even have to make up jokes here? does this story just write itself?

OMAHA, Neb -- State Senator Ernie Chambers is suing God. He says it to prove a point about frivolous lawsuits.
Chambers says senators periodically have offered bills prohibiting the filing of certain types of suits. He says his main objection is the constitution requires that the doors to the courthouse be open to all. Chambers said, "Thus anybody can file a lawsuit against anybody - even God."
Chambers said he decided to file this lawsuit after a suit was filed in early September in federal court against Lancaster County Judge Jeffre Cheuvront. He's the judge who was hearing a sexual assault case, where the woman wants to use the words "rape and victim" during her testimony.

Chambers lawsuit, which was filed on Friday in Douglas County Court, seeks a permanent injunction ordering God to cease certain harmful activities and the making of terroristic threats.
The lawsuit admits God goes by all sorts of alias, names, titles and designations and it also recognizes the fact that the defendant is “Omnipresent”.
In the lawsuit Chambers says he’s tried to contact God numerous times, “Plaintiff, despite reasonable efforts to effectuate personal service upon Defendant (“Come out, come out, wherever you are”) has been unable to do so.”
The suit also requests that the court given the “peculiar circumstances” of this case waive personal service. It says being Omniscient, the plaintiff assumes God will have actual knowledge of the action.
The lawsuit accuses God “of making and continuing to make terroristic threats of grave harm to innumerable persons, including constituents of Plaintiff who Plaintiff has the duty to represent.”
It says God has caused, “fearsome floods, egregious earthquakes, horrendous hurricanes, terrifying tornadoes, pestilential plagues, ferocious famines, devastating droughts, genocidal wars, birth defects, and the like.”
The suit also says God has caused, “calamitous catastrophes resulting in the wide-spread death, destruction and terrorization of millions upon millions of the Earth’s inhabitants including innocent babes, infants, children, the aged and infirm without mercy or distinction.”
Chambers also says God “has manifested neither compassion nor remorse, proclaiming that Defendant “will laugh” when calamity comes.
Chambers asks for the court to grant him a summary judgment. He says as an alternative, he wants the judge to set a date for a hearing as “expeditiously” as possible and enter a permanent injunction enjoining God from engaging in the types of deleterious actions and the making of terroristic threats described in the lawsuit.
somebodies mommy didnt give him enough attention. at least hes only sueing god and not propositioning guys in an airport mens room.
this reminds me of the time i sued the makers of the never ending story for false advertising.

Just thoroughly unbelievable...........

DETROIT (AP) - An assistant U.S. attorney from Florida was arrested in an Internet sting operation after flying to Michigan to have sex with a 5-year-old girl, authorities said Monday.
John D.R. Atchison, 53, was arrested Sunday at Detroit Metropolitan Airport after several weeks of Internet conversations between the prosecutor and a detective posing as the mother of a 5-year-old girl, authorities say.
"There wasn't much reaction from him at all," Macomb County Sheriff Mark Hackel said. Atchison was cooperative with authorities, he said.
He was charged with using interstate communication to entice a minor to have sexual contact and traveling across state lines with the intent of engaging in illicit sexual contact. If convicted of both charges, he faces up to 40 years in prison.
According to court records, Atchison initiated an online chat Aug. 29 with an undercover officer posing as a mother interested in letting men have sex with her daughter.
At one point, Atchison said: "I'm always gentle and loving; not to worry; no damage ever; no rough stuff ever ever," according to an affidavit filed in court.
Atchison, of Gulf Breeze, Fla., is a prosecutor for the U.S. attorney's office for northern Florida, based in Tallahassee. He requested a court-appointed lawyer at his hearing Monday.

you have got to be kidding me. hes always gentle and loving? not to worry? he should worry about what happens to white guys who are into kids in the slammer. just give this guy a gun with one bullet and hope that he does the" right thing" this time.

Should i have a problem with this......

BEIJING — A man in southern China appears to have died of exhaustion after a three-day Internet gaming binge, state media said Monday.
The 30-year-old man fainted at a cybercafé in the city of Guangzhou on Saturday afternoon after he had been playing games online for three days, the Beijing News reported.
Paramedics tried to revive him but failed and he was declared dead at the cafe, it said. The paper said that he may have died from exhaustion brought on by too many hours on the Internet.
The report did not say what the man, whose name was not given, was playing. The report said that about 100 other Web surfers "left the cafe in fear after witnessing the man's death."
China has 140 million Internet users, second only to the United States. It is one of the world's biggest markets for online games, with tens of millions of players, many of whom hunker down for hours in front of PCs in public Internet cafes.
Several cities have clinics to treat what psychiatrists have dubbed "Internet addiction" in users, many of them children and teenagers, who play online games or surf the Web for days at a time.

i know a couple of people that i wish this would happen to. apparently these cafes never close. you think someone would have noticed that he hadnt left for three days. this will definlitely affect the tip........

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (AP) - When tourists ask for the bathroom in the Minneapolis airport lately, it's usually not because they have to go.
It's because they want to see the stall made famous by U.S. Sen. Larry Craig's arrest in a sex sting.
"It's become a tourist attraction," said Karen Evans, information specialist at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. "People are taking pictures."
Craig was arrested June 11 by a Minneapolis airport police officer. The Idaho Republican pleaded guilty to misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
Craig has since said his guilty plea was a mistake. His request to withdraw the guilty plea will be heard Sept. 26, just four days before he has said he will step down from his Senate seat.
Just 15 minutes into her shift on Friday, Evans said she had been asked directions to the new tourist attraction four times. Other airport workers field the same question.
"It's by the Lottery shop, right next to the shoeshine shop," said newsstand worker Abdalla Said, adding he gets the question daily.
The Royal Zino Shoeshine shop owner's grandson, Royal Zino, said it has been hectic.
"People have been going inside, taking pictures of the stall, taking pictures outside the bathroom door - man, it's been crazy," he said.
On their way to Guatemala, Jon and Sally Westby of Minneapolis made a visit.
"We had to just stop and check out the bathroom," Sally said. "In fact, it's Jon's second time - he was here last week already."

is this a sad commentary on america? is this what we lowered ourselves to? does jon westby need to get a life? these are questions we need to ask ourselves these days in america. our congress is a cesspool of corruption and privilege. if he doesnt resign and those people vote him in then they get what they deserve.

oh, and who in there right mind would go visit an airport bathroom...much less twice, and by the way i'm moving my muffin stand closer to the bathroom in that airport......

Ha ha....................

PITTSBURGH (AP) - A 17-year-old boy accidentally shot himself in the leg while standing in line at a McDonald's restaurant and now he faces an illegal weapons charge.
The boy was fiddling with the .25-caliber pistol tucked in his waistband when it fired, wounding him in the upper thigh shortly before 9 p.m. Wednesday, city police Sgt. William Gorman said.
"Some days you deal with a victim, some days you deal with an actor," Gorman said. "But it's a strange day when the actor is the victim."
The boy was in good condition at Mercy Hospital. He was to be charged with illegal possession of a firearm, because he is not old enough to lawfully have a gun, police said.
Police were also trying to determine if the gun was stolen.
The boy was not identified because he is a juvenile. No one else was hurt.

what an asshole this kid is. lets hope it i vital organ that doesnt allow him to reproduce.

Maybe the people are right here.......

The United States promised in the 1994 North American Free Trade Agreement to allow trucks from Mexico to carry goods directly to any destination in the country. But opposition from labor and environmental groups kept the program on hold until Monday, when the first Mexican truck crossed the border bound for North Carolina.
Both the House and Senate have passed by overwhelming margins legislation that would kill a Transportation Department trial granting access to up to 100 Mexican trucking companies. (Canadian trucks have enjoyed the run of the country since 1982.) The 75-23 Senate vote, on an amendment to a transportation funding bill by Sen. Byron Dorgan, D-N.D., came late Tuesday night. The House passed a similar measure 411-3 in May.

"We don't have equivalent standards and most especially enforcement of these standards. … To allow long-haul Mexican trucks under these circumstances would cause safety questions on American roads," Dorgan said in an interview.
Program supporters say safety is a smoke screen for protectionism. In 2006, 23.3% of American trucks flunked U.S. roadside inspections vs. 21.2% of Mexican trucks. "This reeks of protectionism," says economist Barbara Kotschwar of the Peterson Institute for International Economics.

sounds like sour grapes on americas part......until you read this

(CBS/AP) A truck carrying mining explosives blew up after colliding with another vehicle in northern Mexico, killing at least 37 people, including three reporters who had come to the scene, state and federal officials said. Soldiers, police, emergency officials, nearby residents and reporters were on the scene Sunday night when the a fire broke out and the truck filled with explosives went off, according to Luis Horacio de Hoyos of the Coahuila state Attorney General's Office. The explosion occurred near the town of Sacramento. Maximo Alberto Neri Lopez, a federal police official, said 37 people were killed and 150 were injured. He said the explosion left a 10-by-40 foot crater in the concrete.

maybe the truckers have a point here

Lucky little kids........

GLENN DALE, Md. — Some fifth-graders at Glenn Dale Elementary School in Prince George's County thought they were going to watch "Star Wars" on DVD, but instead, they got a glimpse of a pornographic movie.
County schools spokesman John White says a music teacher put the "Star Wars" DVD in a laptop Monday morning, but the projector showed a clip from an adult film. The teacher immediately ejected the DVD, but the image of two naked adults remained frozen on the screen for about 10 seconds until the projector was switched off.
A letter was sent to the parents of all fifth-graders at the school.
The teacher wasn't identified. White says the DVD appears to be a legitimate copy of "Star Wars," and the school-issued laptop was apparently tampered with.
Investigators don't believe any students were involved.

i was thinking how i wish this would have happened to me then i got to thinking about a nun lying dead on the floor and then it wasnt such a good thought.............

Good for kathy.......

Kathy Griffin decided the joke was on Jesus when she accepted her Outstanding Reality Program Award at The Emmys Saturday. In her acceptance speech, Griffin said, "A lot of people come up here and thank Jesus for this award. I want you to know that no one had less to do with this award than Jesus. Suck it, Jesus. This award is my god now." Oh my word. When asked about her speech, an "unrepentant" Griffin added, "I hope I offended some people. I didn't want to win the Emmy for nothing." Uhh, Overkill. Just when she was moving on up.Griffin's comments did not sit well with Sherri Shepherd, who is also a stand-up comic. On The View yesterday, Shepherd said, "I love Kathy but I was trying to text her, 'Girl, you know you ain't supposed to be saying no mess like that.' There's just a line that you shouldn't cross, there's a reverence for God that we should have." An Academy spokeswoman said Griffin's taped acceptance speech will be "heavily censored when it airs at the official Emmy Awards on Sunday." Awww. After all of those desperate comments. Bummer.

ok, lets get this straight, jesus will not be hurt by this. trust me.

dont compare this to making imus or michael richards or anyone making sport of a group of real people. there are not a group of jesuses (is that how you pluralize that) that will be protesting. blacks are real, gays are real, jews are real, jesus.......not so quick churchy. theres a debate there.

let me also add that if you are bothered by this then it might be time to look into getting a sense of humor. she was making fun of all the people who thank god when they win. do those people get mad at god when they lose? i mean if he helped them win this year didnt he help the person who beat them last year? people thank god when the weather is nice , should we get mad when the weather is shitty?

on a lighter note, nobody would laugh harder than jesus at this. hes omnipotent. i'm pretty sure he has the bet sense of humor ever. so everyone relax and laugh along with jesus (wwjd) he wants it that way......

The clampetts get caught...............

remember these six. soon , if there is a god, they will all be in prison for a very long time. these six took a 20 year old black girl and held her for a week while they sexuall assaulted her, poured hot water on her, cut her with a knife, chocked her with a cable , made her eat rat and dog feces...etc.

this classy little group resides in the lovely mountains of west virginia where deliverance isnt just a film but a way of life.

The suspects in the case have previous arrest records going back several years, according to records from Logan County Magistrate Court, and Abraham said he had "some familiarity with all those individuals."
Since 1991, police have filed 108 criminal charges against the six.
Brewster's mother, Frankie Brewster(upper left hand picture), 49, faced the most serious charges among them. She was charged in 1994 with first-degree murder, but pleaded guilty to lesser charges of manslaughter and wanton endangerment. She was released from prison in 2000 after serving five years in the death of 84-year-old Polly T. Ferrell, court records show.

In Williams' case, Frankie Brewster is charged with kidnapping, sexual assault, malicious wounding and giving false information during a felony investigation.

Bobby Brewster, 24, also of Big Creek, is charged with kidnapping, sexual assault, malicious wounding and assault during the commission of a felony.
In March, Brewster was accused in criminal complaints of attacking his mother with a machete at her home, according to court records.

Danny J. Combs, 20, of Harts, is charged with sexual assault and malicious wounding.
Karen Burton, 46, of Chapmanville was charged with malicious wounding, battery and assault during the commission of a felony.
Burton's daughter, Alisha Burton, 23, and George A. Messer, 27, both of Chapmanville, are charged with assault during the commission of a felony and battery. She previously faced charges of assault during the commission of a felony and battery; in May, she was accused of striking Messer with a shovel and smashing the window of a woman's car. The charges are pending.

Public Defender Dwyane Adkins, appointed to represent Bobby Brewster, and Public Defender Betty Gregory, appointed to represent Karen Burton, declined to comment on the case. The other defendants' court-appointed lawyers were either in hearings or did not immediately return telephone calls Wednesday.

you read it right...108 criminal charges since 1981. heres my plan. you get a back hoe, dig a giant hole, dump these illiterate cretins in and cover with dirt. theres your jail cell losers. based on the pictures hygene is just something you say to a guy named gene. how much meth do you have to do to look like those people. they make the mutants in the movie "the hills have eyes" look like the mensa members from the college debate team.

the world would be a better place without them.....

Now this is how you do it............

ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- The body of a 41-year-old man was found in a wooded area next to a guillotine he built and used to kill himself, police said.
The man, from the Detroit suburb of Melvindale, was discovered Monday by workers from a shopping center near his home.
Groundskeeper from the Fairlane Green shopping center at Outer and Fairlane drive discovered the body shortly before 11 a.m. Monday.
Allen Park Deputy Police Chief Dale Covert said the roughly six-foot tall guillotine was bolted to a tree and included a swing arm. Covert said police also found several store receipts detailing the materials used to assemble the device.
"I can't even tell you how long it must have taken him to construct," he said. "This man obviously was very determined to end his life."
According to investigators, the man had to make several trips to carry the wooden and metal parts to the area in the woods.
Covert said the man lived within walking distance of the spot where he died.
Police said the man, whose identity police have not released, had been dead for two days.

i'm tired of reading stories about americans being lazy, about americans not having drive anymore. this man had a plan and implimented it. he had a desire and and the will to see it through to the end. thats alot of "want to" folks. god bless america and our "can do" attitude.

on the other hand , how bad is your life whaen you put a plan this elaborate into action. at the very least he could have left a note and explained why he did this. a note always allows you to fuck up someone elses life while ending your own.

if your going to take yourself out then take a page from this guy. he didnt do it in public. he didnt leave a mess to clean up. he didnt kill anyone else while he did it. hes a class act.

Officially we have gone over the edge....

To some University of Oklahoma football fans, there are things that just aren't done in the heart of Sooner Nation, and one of them is to walk into a bar wearing a Texas Longhorns T-shirt.

That's exactly what touched off a bloody skirmish that left a University of Texas fan nearly castrated and an Oklahoma fan facing aggravated assault charges that could put him in prison for up to five years.

Police say Brian Christopher Thomas, 32, walked into Henry Hudson's Pub on June 17 wearing a Longhorns T-shirt and quickly became the focus of football trash talk from another regular, Sooners fan Allen Michael Beckett, 53.
Thomas told police that when he went to the bar to pay his tab, Beckett grabbed him in the crotch, pulled him to the ground and wouldn't let go, even as other bar patrons tried to break it up.
It took more than 60 stitches to close the wound, and police interviewed Thomas at a nearby hospital.

Beckett's attorney, Billy Bock, concedes that his client commented about Thomas' shirt but said that it was just good-natured ribbing and that he apologized to Thomas when it appeared to upset the Texas fan. Later, Bock said, Thomas approached his client at the bar and threatened him.
Thomas' attorney disputes Beckett's version. "That's total malarkey," Hughes said. "My client never said a word to him. He got up to pay and when he paid and left a tip, the guy grabbed him."
Beckett, a church deacon, federal auditor and former Army combat veteran, has pleaded not guilty.

all this over a football rivalry. nobody desreves to have the testicles pulled off because of the shirt they wear. on the other hand maybe it isnt a good idea to walk into the redneck bar wearing the shirt of the hated rival. i wonder if mr. thomas is now rethinking how his right to wear that shirt balances out with his rights to wear his balls.
the best part was that people are calling talk shows in the area and saying he desreved what he got.

as for mr. beckett, i'm sure his church is proud of him. my first thought is actually that before he hands out the body of christ i hope he washed his hands....you dont want those tasting like balls. it reminds of the bible story wear jesus was hanging out and someone walked in with a allah t-shirt on. well he went crazy and ripped off his nutsack so i guess a precident had been set.

good luck oklahoma, your now as crazy as texas

Please refer to me as the talent......

so yesterday i come into work and sit down to my desk when a camera crew comes in. they start to set up in the showroom. ok, no big deal. we are doing a commercial here. cool. the guy running the shoot walks up to me and says ...and i quote..."are you ready?" to which i answer...and i quote..." ready for what". he tells me i'm in the commercial so i laugh (which i havent done alot of at work lately) and tell him to get the fuck away from me (which he does).

thats when the bomb drops....

my boss comes up to me and says "didnt i tell you that you were in this commercial?" to which i reply "you most certainly did not". he then throws a script at me and tells me that they want to see me in makeup, then walks away. this is the same way he runs the company. so here i am, five after nine , sitting in a chair , reading a script as a really cute young lady puts makeup on me.

welcome to my life as a star...........

these are two 30 second commercials. my part in each one is less than 10 seconds. it took about three hours to film my part in each commercial. lets do the math...thats three hours to film less than 10 seconds. what a boring job. i dont know if i could do that for a living but for at least one day i was a star. if you happen to be in the burg turn on channel 2 (which is the cbs affiliate) and you get to see the man himself starring in the commercial.

by the way, my boss who had about a 15 second part couldnt be bothered to memorize his part so they had to film his line by line. it took 4 hours just to get his part for the first commercial. i have no idea when they finnished with him.

Glad to see you go......

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (AP) -- A man convicted of murdering four children with an assault rifle was executed Wednesday, becoming the first Tennessee inmate put to death by electrocution since 1960
Daryl Holton, 45, had confessed to shooting his three young sons and their half-sister in 1997 in the town of Shelbyville, about 50 miles south of Nashville.
Holton told police he killed the children because his ex-wife had refused to let him see them. He said he intended to kill her and himself, but instead turned himself in.

Holton, a Gulf War veteran, confessed to the 1997 killings, saying he lined up the children at his uncle's auto repair garage and shot them.

Holton chose the electric chair over the state's preferred execution method, lethal injection. Under Tennessee law, death row inmates can choose between the electric chair and lethal injection if their crimes were committed before 1999.

good for tennessee. i got no problem with frying this selfish bastard. they should have had him hold a turkey so he could cook dinner for the rest of the convicts. frankly i think they should hook up all the death row guys like a row like light bulbs and get them all done at once. a good electrician would have no problem hooking that up.

Could you sleep on this flight?

KATHMANDU (Reuters) - Officials at Nepal's state-run airline have sacrificed two goats to appease Akash Bhairab, the Hindu sky god, following technical problems with one of its Boeing 757 aircraft, the carrier said Tuesday.

Nepal Airlines, which has two Boeing aircraft, has had to suspend some services in recent weeks due the problem.
The goats were sacrificed in front of the troublesome aircraft Sunday at Nepal's only international airport in Kathmandu in accordance with Hindu traditions, an official said.
"The snag in the plane has now been fixed and the aircraft has resumed its flights," said Raju K.C., a senior airline official, without explaining what the problem had been.
Local media last week blamed the company's woes on an electrical fault. The carrier runs international flights to five cities in Asia.
It is common in Nepal to sacrifice animals like goats and buffaloes to appease different Hindu deities.
yes, lets not fix the problems ...lets pray. i dont think i could sleep on this flight. its just a quick way to meet vishnu or whatever crazy eight armed god they are praying to this week. talk about a cut rate carrier. i just hope this isnt hauling my new dell computer (though i hope its hauling a load of the help desk people.
no wonder these people are third world.............

This just in....The virgin mary isnt punctual....

Some say there's a miracle in Minersville, while others dismiss it as an optical illusion. Each day, about 400 people in this Schuylkill County town of 4,500 come to see a mysterious image that appears on a garage door in an alley. To some, it's an image of the Virgin Mary that has appeared at 6 p.m. each day since Aug. 15 -- the day of the Feast of the Assumption of Mary. To others, it's just a reflection of light from the setting sun.On Friday, the image appeared at 6:16 p.m. on a door of the three-car garage, and the crowd of nearly 400 people gathered in a tight semicircle on Lewis Street near Front Street to see for themselves. Most carried still and video cameras, while others brought rosary beads, pictures of the Virgin Mary, flowers and crosses, ready to share in what some believe to be a religious experience. The crowd in the street grew as 6 p.m. neared -- young and old, children and the elderly, believers and skeptics.''Yeah, we're waiting for Jesus,'' Evan Ponter, an 11th-grader at Minersville High School, told someone who had called him on his cell phone.Ponter said he and his friends came out to see for themselves if what they were hearing about was real -- or just a tall tale from those who want to believe. Before hundreds of people -- the curious, the devout and a number of journalists -- the mysterious image appeared, albeit 16 minutes late.As the evening wore on, the image climbed higher on the door. Dozens touched it with their hands, with their rosaries, with crosses. Others prayed, snapped photos and shot videotape. Some expressed their skepticism -- suggesting the image is just a reflection of a statue of the Virgin Mary in the second-floor bow window of a home across the street.Others said they're not sure what it is, but say it has a meaning.''It makes you think about your faith,'' said Joan Bettinger, who said she's seen the image twice. When asked if it could be the real thing, she said, ''It could be. Anything's possible today. It does look like her.''''There has to be a reason,'' said Yolanda Demcher of Minersville, who was surprised to see so many young people in the crowd. ''There has to be a reason.''She speculated that the purpose of the appearance might be to draw young people back to their faith, to church and to prayer.Nine-year-old Adrian Datte of Pottsville, who had bought a video camera with his Holy Communion money, gently touched the bright and blurry image.''It's like, like it's weird that it's here,'' he said. ''Like it's really interesting to see. I think it's something like a ghost or a spirit or Jesus.''

coal country, farm country, its all the same. hicks fall for anything and nothing catches their interest more than religion (except maybe the booth that deep fries twinkies at the county fair). hey jesus was appearing in everything for a time and mary wants some of the publicity (and who can blame her). the best part is the rubes cant see its just a reflection. i wish i lived in the house where the reflection was coming from. i'd put a devil in the window and blow their tiny little minds...or a buddha. i'd shake their spiritual foundation like its never been shaken before.
you know, an enterprising man with some beakers and a little weeson oil could make a killing there selling blessed oil............

A man after my own heart............

An employee at an electronics manufacturing company in Memphis, Tennessee, was arrested last week after he allegedly tried to taint a morning cup of coffee with an industrial paint thinner, MyFoxMemphis.com reported.
Police told MyFoxMemphis.com that Tommy Chiu, a worker at Sharp Manufacturing, was having a difficult time at work and wanted revenge on his supervisor, Debra Rose.
Rose told police that she had placed the coffee on her desk and walked out of her office. When she returned after forgetting something, she saw Chiu holding a baster-like object over her coffee mug. The baster was believed to contain xylene, a substance found in paint thinner and airplane fuel.
The coffee was sent to a lab for analysis, Lt. Joe Scott told MyFoxMemphis.com. Chiu was charged with first-degree attempted murder.

oh , if only i could get to my bosses coffee cup. i wouldnt poison him ...well i guess not in the literal sense. can urine poison you? i'm guessing not.
heres to you tommy, i raise my coffee mug...after i washed it out........

Castrate him right now.........

PATRICK, Nev. — An Oregon man is in custody after allegedly leaving his 2-year-old daughter in a car in 95-degree heat in the parking lot of a brothel east of Reno.
The Storey County sheriff's office said Lucien Hoffman of Bend, Ore., was being held in the country jail in lieu of $40,000 bail on charges of child neglect.
Hoffman told deputies he was attending a function at the Mustang Ranch brothel off Interstate 80, 15 miles east of Reno.
A brothel security guard found the child crying inside the car on Saturday and took her indoors until authorities arrived.
The toddler was treated for dehydration and released to the Nevada Division of Child and Family Services.
is there any excuse that could work here? i can think up some good ones but not one that anyone would believe. i'd rather not see him jailed but beaten to death wouldnt be bad.
well, at least i hope he got laid because in jail hes going to be the girl.......

Republican presidential hopeful, U.S.,Sen. Sam Brownback, R-Kan. during a speech at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, N.H., Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007.
this guy is so out of touch its scary. if left up to him he would make america what it once was...uninhabited and covered in ice. i'm glad nobody showed up for this jerkoff and i cant wait for him to fold up the big top on his campaign.
with that in mind i officially announce him as the second one down.......

Things to ponder..............

Number 10 - Life is sexually transmitted.
Number 9 - Good health is merely the slowest possible rate at which One can die.
Number 8 - Men have two emotions: Hungry and Horny. If you see him Without an erection, make him a sandwich.
Number 7 - Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day; teach a Person to use the Internet and they won't bother you for weeks.
Number 6 - Some people are like a Slinky...not really good for Anything, but you still can't help but smile when you see one tumble Down the stairs.
Number 5 - Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in Hospitals dying of nothing.
Number 4 - All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no Attention to criticism.
Number 3 - Why does a slight tax increase cost you two hundred dollars And a substantial tax cut saves you thirty cents?
Number 2 - In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird. Now The world is weird and people take Prozac to make it normal.
AND THE NUMBER 1 THOUGHT FOR 2007: We know exactly where one cow with Mad-cow-disease is located among the millions and millions of cows in America but we haven't got a clue as to where thousands of illegal Immigrants and terrorists are located. Maybe we should put the Department of Agriculture in charge of immigration.

I've been thinking about this......

i know your thinking. why hasnt misterpissed commented on senator larry craig? i've been giving this story some time to see where the spin would go...and now i'm ready.

lets start with the main player here...senator larry craig. hes a very conservative senator from idaho. hes voted against gay marriage, gay...well, everything. hes married and as i understand it has had rumors of his being gay surrounding him since the 80's.

well larry got caught up in a sting in a minneapolis airport mens room. this particular bathroom is known for being a big gay hangout to have sex. as i understand it there is a series of things you need to do to alert the fellow in the next stall as to your intentions. if he signals you back then the games begin. He told no one about his June arrest, or his August plea, or how he explained to the Minneapolis police officer involved in the airport sting that signals the officer interpreted as a come-on for gay sex were actually explained by the senator's "wide stance'' in the stall and his reaching for a piece of paper on the floor.

Beyond the spectre of a U.S. senator allegedly cruising for bathroom sex, or moral questions of a police sting, Craig admitted to a serious lapse in judgment.

ok, you get the story now?

heres the facts as i see it. nobody gives a damn if your gay except assholes. its a new millenium. i think most people are just so tired of getting fucked over by politicians that if they found an honest one it wouldnt matter if he or she was gay, or green or....well , i think you understand. what people dont like is a person whos gay pretending to not be gay, voting against everything gay and then doing things behind their backs...or in this case the mens room of the minneapolis airport.

as i understand it the signals go like this....
1. you sit down and start tapping your feet. (i hope you didnt have a song in your head).
2.if hes into your signal the he should put his foot close to the edge of the stall and wait for you to then touch his foot with yours
3. at that point you reach down and grasp the partition rubbing it suggestively....
its like a very disgusting dancing with the stars. i would never in a million years reach under the partition of a public mens room without knowing whos on the other side much less grasp the partition. those rooms are cleaned about every 200 years. of course if your looking to have gay sex , or any sex for that matter, in the mens room of the minneapolis airport then i'm guessing that sanitation isnt topmost on your mind. larry explained that his touching the cops foot was do to his wide stance. thats really a bad lie. i would be more apt to believe him if he said he was a center on his college football team and he was having a flashback. i'm throwing the bullshit flag on larry.

and who, in their right mind, plead guilty to a sex charge (much less a gay sex charge) if they are innocent. as a senator you have to know that will get out and be career suicide. he already said the press was gunning for him. to say this was a lapse in judgement would be an incredible understatement.

of course once it came out larry is all upset. he says it was a misunderstanding and he shouldnt have pleaded guilty and hes going to fight it now. thats a little late larry. larry did show his id as senator to the cop and asked if that would help him. it most certainly did not.

after reading all the stories i see larry as guilty and the truth of the matter is......

he who lives by the meatsword, dies by the meatsword

First one out...........

Sioux City, Ia. - God's will is for Iowa to have the first-in-the-nation caucus, Democratic presidential candidate Bill Richardson told a crowd here Monday."Iowa, for good reason, for constitutional reasons, for reasons related to the Lord, should be the first caucus and primary," Richardson, New Mexico's governor, said at the Northwest Iowa Labor Council Picnic. "And I want you to know who was the first candidate to sign a pledge not to campaign anywhere if they got ahead of Iowa. It was Bill Richardson."

let me be the first to completely rule out bill richardson as president. god, and you can rest assured i know this as a fact, does not care if iowa is the first caucus or the last. even the people of iowa think that was stupid thing to say. most people who have been there would say that god must be mad at you to stick you in iowa.

officially, bill richardson is now to be considered crazy. hes fallen below kucinich on the not relevant meter. i hope that thirty states move ahead of iowa and he doesnt campaign in any of them thereby giving up his crazy dream of being the president.

might i add that if you vote for him you are as ....whats the word.....oh yeah, you are as bat shit crazy as he is.........

HAPPY BIRTHDAY.....

An iron-lunged pensioner has celebrated her 100th birthday by lighting up her 170,000th cigerette from a candle on her birthday cake.
Winnie Langley started smoking only days after the First World War broke out in June 1914 when she was just seven-years-old - and has got through five a day ever since.
She has no intention of quitting, even after the nationwide ban forced tobacco-lovers outside.
Speaking at her 100th birthday party Winnie said: "I have smoked ever since infant school and I have never thought about quitting.
"There were not all the the health warnings like there are today when I started. It was the done thing."
Winnie, from Croydon, South London, claims tobacco has never made her ill.
She has outlived a husband, Robert, and son, Donald, who died two years ago aged 72.
The former launderette worker said she started the habit in 1914 - just weeks after the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand in Sarajevo on June 28 - which sparked the First World War.
The 100-year-old, who is awaiting her telegram from the Queen today, said smoking helped calm her nerves during the two World Wars.
She said: "A lot of people smoked during the war. It helped steady the nerves."
Despite the numerous health warnings, Mrs Langley insists she's never suffered because of the habit as she "has never inhaled".
What a proud moment for her and her family...if theres anyone left. they probably all died from second hand smoke. did anyone tell her the wars are over...she can stop now. i can just asee her standing outside the old folks home, in the rain and cold, smoking up a storm. oh well, good for her. i hate those warnings anyway.

Truer words were never written............

This is mistakenly attributed to Bill Gates, as a Speech he supposedly gave at Mt. Whitney High School in Visalia, California.
It is actually from the book "Dumbing Down our Kids" by Charles J. Sykes, 1995, and is directed at high school and college graduates.
Rule 1:Life is not fair - get used to it

Rule 2:The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself

Rule 3:You will NOT make $40,000 a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both

Rule 4:If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss

Rule 5:Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your grandparents had a different word for burger flipping - they called it opportunity

Rule 6:If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them

Rule 7:Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you are. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parents' generation, try delousing the closet in your own room

Rule 8:Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life has not. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as many times as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life

Rule 9:Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you find yourself. Do that on your own time!

Rule 10:Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs

Rule 11:Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one

The funniest? midgets and monkeys.........

A dwarf performer at the Edinburgh fringe festival had to be rushed to hospital after his penis got stuck to a vacuum cleaner during an act that went horribly awry.
Daniel Blackner, or Captain Dan the Demon Dwarf, was due to perform at the Circus of Horrors at the festival known for its oddball, offbeat performances.
The main part of his act was for him to appear on stage with a vacuum cleaner attached to his member with a special apparatus.
The attachment broke before the performance and Blackner tried to fix it using extra-strong glue, but unfortunately only let it dry for 20 seconds instead of the 20 minutes required.
He then joined it directly to his organ. The end result? A solid attachment, laughter, mortification and ... hospitalisation.
"It was the most embarrassing moment of my life when I got wheeled into a packed A&E with a vacuum attached to me," Blackner said.
"I just wished the ground could swallow me up. Luckily, they saw me quickly so the embarrassment was short-lived."

i am a firm believer that the only thing funnier than a group of monkeys is midgets and/or dwarves (for the sake of this post we will refer to them all as midgets). is there any movie you can think of that wouldnt be funnier if it had midgets. imagine goodfellows ...done with midgets. ok, you say pesci was close....and he is....but i'm talking about real , honest to goodness, yellow brick road walking midgets. now if you can get a movie with midgets and monkeys then you have comedy gold.

now a midget getting a vacuum cleaner glued to his johnson might be the story of the year. understand, this is his whole act. i think i'd like to see that. this also proves that karma is an evil bitch. poor guy is already a midget and then this happens. i'll bet he does want the earth to swallow him upand based on his size it wouldnt be much of a gulp.

good luck to all the little people out there. at least this guy had a job.........

you gotta love china.......

Aug. 20-27, 2007 issue - In one of history's more absurd acts of totalitarianism, China has banned Buddhist monks in Tibet from reincarnating without government permission. According to a statement issued by the State Administration for Religious Affairs, the law, which goes into effect next month and strictly stipulates the procedures by which one is to reincarnate, is "an important move to institutionalize management of reincarnation." But beyond the irony lies China's true motive: to cut off the influence of the Dalai Lama, Tibet's exiled spiritual and political leader, and to quell the region's Buddhist religious establishment more than 50 years after China invaded the small Himalayan country. By barring any Buddhist monk living outside China from seeking reincarnation, the law effectively gives Chinese authorities the power to choose the next Dalai Lama, whose soul, by tradition, is reborn as a new human to continue the work of relieving suffering.

At 72, the Dalai Lama, who has lived in India since 1959, is beginning to plan his succession, saying that he refuses to be reborn in Tibet so long as it's under Chinese control. Assuming he's able to master the feat of controlling his rebirth, as Dalai Lamas supposedly have for the last 600 years, the situation is shaping up in which there could be two Dalai Lamas: one picked by the Chinese government, the other by Buddhist monks. "It will be a very hot issue," says Paul Harrison, a Buddhism scholar at Stanford. "The Dalai Lama has been the prime symbol of unity and national identity in Tibet, and so it's quite likely the battle for his incarnation will be a lot more important than the others."

god, those chinese are great. when they arent poisioning us they are setting up ridiculous laws against their perceived enemies. thats right , you need permission to reincarnate. you also need permission to spontaneously combust, get struck by lightning and to be beamed up to the mothership.

the way they treat their people its a good thing they dont have oil or we would be at war with them next.........

Mike vick follow-up..........

That's what Stephon Marbury said. The New York Knicks player came to the defense of Michael Vick and compared dogfighting to hunting.

He said, "I think, you know, we don't say anything about people who shoot deer or shoot other animals. You know, from what I hear, dogfighting is a sport. It's just behind closed doors.''

Dogfighting is not like hunting at all. In dogfighting these dogs torture each other and basically die a slow death! Hunters don't go out there and slowly torture a damn deer and then lock it up in a cage and watch it bleed to death. Totally different.

Stephon isn't the only person coming to Michael's defense. The NAACP held a press conference urging the NFL to let Michael play.

"As a society, we should aid in his rehabilitation and welcome a new Michael Vick back into the community without a permanent loss of his career in football," said R.L. White, president of the group's Atlanta chapter. "We further ask the NFL, Falcons, and the sponsors not to permanently ban Mr. Vick from his ability to bring hours of enjoyment to fans all over this country."

Hours of enjoyment?! Who the hell can enjoy that dude knowing that he killed 8 lil' pooches? Where's Cujo when you need him?

The next day he followed up on his statement..........

Marbury expanded on those comments in the statement.
"There is no list for which animals should be killed and which shouldn't. I love animals and none of them should be harmed However, we don't react the same when other animals are being killed for sport or the sake of human pleasure."

hunting is one thing...dog fighting is quite another. he only followed up his comments because he caught some shit for the stupid comment he made in the first place. his agent should just tell him to shut up. he is right though we dont react the same when other animals are being killed for sport or the sake of human pleasure." theres a huge difference when someone is hunting with a gun compared to someone who hangs a dog or throws them down on the ground to break their backs or drowns them. if stephon doesnt get that hen hes just as big an animal as mike is.

you just know that stephon enjoys a good dog fight..............

Only in wacko...er, i mean waco..........

Bill Nye, the harmless children's edu-tainer known as "The Science Guy," managed to offend a select group of adults in Waco, Texas at a presentation, when he suggested that the moon does not emit light, but instead reflects the light of the sun.

As even most elementary-school graduates know, the moon reflects the light of the sun but produces no light of its own.But don't tell that to the good people of Waco, who were "visibly angered by what some perceived as irreverence," according to the Waco Tribune.Nye was in town to participate in McLennan Community College's Distinguished Lecture Series. He gave two lectures on such unfunny and adult topics as global warming, Mars exploration, and energy consumption. But nothing got people as riled as when he brought up Genesis 1:16, which reads: "God made two great lights -- the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars."The lesser light, he pointed out, is not a light at all, but only a reflector. At this point, several people in the audience stormed out in fury. One woman yelled "We believe in God!" and left with three children, thus ensuring that people across America would read about the incident and conclude that Waco is as nutty as they'd always suspected.
This story originally appeared in the Waco Tribune, but the newspaper has mysteriously pulled its story from the online version, presumably to avoid further embarassment.
try to forget (though that may be hard to do) that our current president is from texas..........

What has organized religion taught us..........

Introduces its victims to the wonderful world of ritualized mass hypnosis.

Makes its followers believe that they live in a cartoon universe, populated by angels, demons, ghosts and ghoulies. A world where the all-powerful SuperAlphaDaddy runs the whole show, and can make people from dirt, or crap out a skyscraper if It felt like it. Meanwhile, some demon with a red butt, horns and hooves prances around and acts like a total jerk, pissing on people everywhere.

Teaches people to believe that their inner dialogue is some freaky spirit-world communication.

Teaches people to believe that anything good in their lives comes from outside themselves, from SuperAlphaDaddy to be precise, and anything bad comes from irredeemable flaws in their own character.

Teaches people to believe that those who do not share their beliefs are evil, possessed by demons, necessarily corrupt, or otherwise non-human.

Teaches people to believe they are defective, and that they should live in shame because they are human.

Teaches people to believe that they should mind each other’s business and be judgmental, all the while pretending to teach the opposite in one of the most insidious examples of Orwellian doublespeak.

Teaches people not to take responsibility for their actions (God told me to/The Devil made me do it).

Teaches people to believe that they are victims of a vast power struggle wherein they are puny and weak.

Teaches people to automatically defer to Authority Figures, and in some cases treat fanatical and morally bankrupt CONTROL FREAKS as God-by-proxy.

Teaches people to believe that mankind is not able to formulate cogent morality and law for itself without help from the god of a Bronze Age nomadic culture.

Freedom of what?

hey everyone, meet Kia Vaughn . what? you say you dont who she is? hell, i'll bet you didnt even know that it was a woman. well dont say you dont her too loud because you might fuck up her lawsuit. she says thatsexist and racist comments damaged her reputation. she believes that a couple of guys are legally responsible for damage done to her character and reputation. Vaughn was humiliated, embarrassed and publicly mocked for the comments, the lawsuit claims. Her attorney, Richard Ancowitz, said: "The full effect of the damage remains to be seen." now dont tell me you still dont know who she is. cmon with something this damaging her name should be on everyones mind.

still dont know? shes one of the rutgers female basketball players who imus refered to as "nappy headed ho's". oh, you say you had already forgotten that. ok, just dont say it too loud (again, we dont want to ruin her case). "This is about Kia Vaughn's good name," Ancowitz said. "She would do anything to return to her life as a student and respected basketball player - a more simple life before Imus opened his mouth on April 4." well kia, heres some advice. return to your life. nobody gives a damn about what you were called. nobody remembers you. if you wanted to go back to your old life then you shouldnt have went on to oprah. did it ever occur to kia that filing a big lawsuit and having her lawyer speak out in the press might put her name out to people who didnt know who she was and affect her more than anything imus said that day. if you didnt want the limelight then you should have told al sharpton to let it go but no, its easier to go after him now that he might get a rather large payout from cbs.

what have we learned today. we learned that kia might actually like the spotlight. kia realizes that a big payout from imus beats the shit out of playing in the wnba. maybe we've learned that imus , though a big racist asshole, should be protected by freedom of speech.

or maybe we've learned nothing. it remains to be seen..........

Hes going to need the tape to hold his skull together.......

ASHLAND, Ky. (AP) - A man accused of being the "Duct Tape Bandit" has gotten into a sticky situation. The man, who had his head wrapped in duct tape to conceal his identity, walked into a liquor store on Friday, Ashland police said.
Shamrock Liquors store manager Bill Steele had some duct tape of his own, but his was wrapped around a wooden club that sent the robber fleeing, according to a report by WSAZ-TV in Huntington, W.Va.
Store employee Craig Miller said he chased the man to the parking lot, tackled him and held him in a choke hold until police arrived. A customer also helped, police said.
Kasey G. Kazee, 24, of Ashland, was charged with first-degree robbery, according to Ashland Police Sgt. Mark McDowell.
Kazee, in an interview with the TV station, denied he was the bandit who robbed the store of two rolls of change. He pleaded not guilty Monday and bond was set at $250,000.

how do you add to this story? this is the kind of funny that just seems to write itself. oh how i wish it was i who was wacking this big taped head. i just figure hes a pinata and there must be goodies in there. how much fun would it have been to rip the tape off of his head? is this the kind of story that you just dont tell the other convicts. i think i'd rather tell them i'm a molester than own up to this ridiculous story.

anyway, good for the owner and the store employee who beat him and then held him for the cops. frankly it would have been better if the owner just yanked out a gun and blew him away. this is a guy we dont need polluting the gene pool anyway.

An e-mail i got.......

It is time to change from REDNECK humor to TRUE AMERICAN Humor! Only it isn't seen as HUMOR, but the correct way to LIVE YOUR LIFE! If you feel the same, pass this on to your True American friends. Y'all know who they are...

1.You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if: It never occurred to you to be offended by the phrase, "One nation, under God."

2.You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if: You've never protested about seeing the 10 Commandments posted in public places.

3.You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if: You still say "Christmas" instead of "Winter Festival."

4.You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if: You bow your head when someone prays.

5.You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if: You stand and place your hand over your heart when they play the National Anthem

6.You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if: You treat Viet Nam vets with great respect, and always have.

7.You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if: You've never burned an American flag.

8.You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if: You respect your elders and expect your kids to do the same.

9. You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if: You'd give your last dollar to a friend.

10.You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if: You know what you believe and you aren't afraid to say so, no matter who is listening.

if you got this email from me, it is because I believe that you, like me, have just enough TRUE AMERICAN in you to have the same beliefs as those talked about in this email. God Bless the U S A ! Amen AND PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO SING THE NATIONAL ANTHEM IN ENGLISH.

this email was sent to me by a dear friend. this sums up america today. actually number 10 trumps numbers 1 through 7. as long as people fall for all the bullshit we are being spoon fed from the media then america will never change. this isnt a case of republican and democrat its a case of right and wrong. do the right thing regardless of what your party tells you to do. question everything your leaders do or say. its the only way to keep them honest. one of your freedoms in this country allows you to question your leaders. coutries like iraq and iran dont allow that and if we stop people from doing it we are not better than they are.....regardless of what "true americans" tell you. when you fall for the "true american" bullshit then your rights will disappear. the patriot act isnt making us any safer...and its hardly patriotic. we need to call all politicians on the carpet for lies regardless if its about a blowjob or wmd's or mission accomplished.

They that can give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. - Ben Franklin, 1755, to the Pennsylvania State Legislature

its as true today as it was in 1755. those founding fathers were some smart mfer's for being farmers.

this is shoes (a true american).....over and out......

I'm back......

because you need me. i was going to quit blogging but so many outrageous things are happening and you need me to sort it out for you. lets start with a fave of mine....michael vick. mike seems to be in a bit of a jam. seems that , maybe, mike was a player in dog fighting. seems , maybe, that some dog fighting was going down on some property he owns. seems , maybe, that mike , either himself or through "his people" , was running some dogs over interstate lines to fight. seems as though ,maybe, mike could be fucked.

lets go over some of the talking points of this case. i'm going to venture that you've heard the expression " dont make a federal case out of this". well i'm venturing mike lawyers have said this alot...in vain. this is a federal case. the feds really check into this stuff and, unlike o.j. , the feds wont open a case unless they are pretty sure they can convict. that isnt good for mike. his buddies , who may or may not be his partners in this endeavor, have rolled on him. they've turned states evidence and , again, this isnt good for mike (havent these guys ever seen goodfellows). mikes lawyers are, reportedly, split on mike pleading guilty or going to trial, again, not good for mike. the nfl seems to be washing their hands of one of their stars having suspended him from training camp. this , one might say, is not good for mike. you starting to see a trend here.

ok, i think we can all agree that this isnt mikes year. dog fighting seems to be on a downswing due to the fact that its so fucking barbaric that even a neanderthal like myself cant comprehend its sporting value and how they , maybe, killed these dogs when they lost is insane on a criminal level. i tend to think that people go overboard on alot of issues but in this case its perfectly understandable. also, he might have picked a bad time ,workwise, to get in trouble. the nfl has a long history of turning a blind eye to criminal behavior by its players. moreso when they are stars but that , alas, was the past. the new nfl wants the players to , if they cant be law abiding citizens, at least not get caught. there is a very real possibility that no matter what happens to mike he will be suspended for the year which is less of a concern because knowledgable people seem to think that its not a case of if mike will serve time but how much time he will serve. as most of us know , in prison, handling the ball takes on a whole new meaning.

as for people that are saying that mike has been treated unfairly because hes black...well, whos to say. a white guy hasnt been involved with a dog fighting scheme (at least he hasnt been caught). these are the same people who think barry bonds got a bad press because hes black. i tend to disagree. mark mcgwire admitted to using steroids and sammy sosa got caught with a corked bat. the reason people dont like barry has less to do with him being black and more to do with the fact that hes an asshole. mikes treatment has more to do with the fact that a majority of professional athletes are black. i do remember a black former athlete who sawed a womans head off and got away with it.

what have we learned? its not a good time to be mike vick? dogs are for petting not fighting? your friends will throw you under a bus to save their own skin? all of the above? yes to all of those and good luck mike. just imagine how good that penitentarys football team is going to be.

Another thing i cant stand......

two weeks ago a pitcher for the st louis cardinals was killed in an accident. seemd the young man was drinking and then got into his car and was racing up the highway where he encountered a car getting ready to be put on a tow truck. the car was in one of the lanes because thats where it broke down. he hit the broke down car at approximately 70 mph. sure it is tragic but to me heres the really tragic part. his dad , who is taking care of his estate, is sueing everyone. lets put the list in order for you....
1. the bar where he got drunk
2. the owner of said bar
3. the bartender
4. the owner of the tow truck
5. the driver of the tow truck
6. the owner of the car being towed
his dad will probably sue me if he sees this. the bar , bar owner and bartender i can see but the tow truck driver and the guy who owned the car being towed....thats ridiculous. if this doesnt make you hate lawyers then ....well.....your probably a lawyer. i would love to see the car owner sue his estate, his wife and his children for wrecking his car. imagine the pain and suffering of not having your car. there must be something punitive in that. if i was the driver of the tow truck my back might start hurting right about.......now. sure it crazy but not any more crazy then the estate sueing those poor people.
in this day of nobody wanting to accept responsibility for anything this all makes sense. i'm sure the owner of the bar kidnapped the ballplayer and took him to the bar and forced him to drink. any goodwill i had for this man is now gone thanks to a greedy father and some equally greedy lawyers. heres hoping they get what they deserve.....nothing.

this is shoes....over and out.....
